Cutlets - Kotlety Mielone - Ania's Polish Food Recipe #11
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Crispy and juicy, this cutlets are one of my faves! You can alternate the minced meat to your liking, beef, pork, chicken or turkey or you can mix two different kinds too!
I hope you enjoy!

yummy, pędzę do kuchni robić moje mielone, bardzo miło się ogląda, muszę spojrzeć na Twoje inne filmiki, pozdrawiam
My mother made these, and more, all the time when I was growing up. She made them with ground beef and ground pork mixed, never coated them with bread crumbs though and used just sliced bread instead of a roll. Left the best smell throughout the house. Watching this video makes me glad I learned to cook from her over the years all the traditional Polish dinners before she passed away last year.

I make these with the same ingredients except I use a box grater for the onion. So tasty! Very affordable too :)

I need to use the grater next time cuz sometimes my daughter is complaining she can feel the onion! Thank you!
@DabneyFountain - I use often extra virgin olive oil, especially in salads and pasta dishes. Cutlets would go perfectly with mashed potatoes and some fresh salad. My favorite salad for that would be "mizeria" made from fresh cucumbers with bit of cream and baby dill.
Big fan from Barcelona!!

thank you!
I use pork or chicken, my mom tends to mix it from time to time as well but she would still keep the main portion pork and then to make it a bit less fat she would add lean veal or chicken or turkey :)
That brings back my childhood memories. I must try to make kotlety

Ania, thanks again for a delicious looking recipe. I can't smell it, but your photography is just wonderful! I don't remember eating this growing up, and I'm thinking hard!!!LOL.. Definitely not mom, I have to ask my Ciocia Teresa. She is a fantastic Polish cook and used to cook at our local Polish Hall for events. Love your son acting silly:)
you are very welcome!
Na smalcu się smaży
Hi miss Ania :) Your tutorial is really helpful :) Thank you so much :) When coating the cutlets with the bread crumbs , can i use some eggs to make it stick with the bread crumbs even more? :)
Kalupsy in Polish? Not sure of spelling. My Bapcia made this. So good.
@JagHoff7787 half to one teaspoon depending on how salty food you like! I am putting around half a teaspoon but we don't eat too salty:) I will add more precise measurements for spices next time :) Happy cooking!
❤
Nice presentation Ania , I would fry onions just a bit before mixing them, I think that would make them less noticeable and sweeter as well. Thank you for doing Polish food in English for and from all my friends

Ania, do you mix beef or chuck and pork? my mom also adds some dill and maggi when mixing. use very little of the maggi, a small pinch will do. I will try your version next week! dziękuję
Polskie mieloniaki najlepsze 😋
lol, he seems to be more silly than not :) I guess different families are have different favourite recipes. We would have kotlety mielone at least once a month :) when I feel home sick that's what I go for :) Thank you for your nice words :)
Looks amazing. What mixture of the ground meat do you use? Pork, beef, combination of both? Thank you soo much.

originally it is with pork only but i like to mix it with chicken or make it from chicken only, sometimes i will use half and half beef and pork :) Thank you for watching!
Ania, I made these and they were wonderful. Could I ask if you could pronounce the Polish names of the recipe's slower? I'm trying to learn the names in Polish. Thank you so much.
So nicely presented Annia, I am making some for guests tomorrow, anything against adding a hint of garlic and some finely chopped mushrooms?

Great idea!
Which meat do you use? My mother mixed 2 kinds. I can't remember, maybe one was veal.
you can use any minced meat but in this video I used pork. I like to make them from chicken as well. Beef might be a little bit different, I would suggest mixing it with pork :)
Hello Ania, I was wondering if the minced meat was all beef OR a combination of pork/beef

Aniu do kotletów dodaj także ziemniaka startego tak jak do placków ziemniaczanych. Wtedy kotlet bedzie pulchny i mięciutki w środku a na zewnątrz chrupki. Pozdrawiam

I remember these from years back. I'm going to make them. Are they traditionally made with just pork? Also, is the frying enough to cook them through or do you need to put in oven after frying for a short while?
@AniasKitchen

only fry but can reheat in the oven. Traditionally pork but the best are with chicken in my opinion :) or mix
