There is nothing more special than a child and his beloved pet. Please teach him to not hit at the dog but to pet him nicely. It may seem trivial now but is so important to start that now so he will have a good and healthy relationship with his beloved dog.

I am watching the growth of your son and his growing affection for his best friend Kobe. My mother loved a Chocolate Lab named Charlie. before him was Ezekial my brother's dog who came to live with her due to his military commitments. I also served in the military, and I was able to meet both of these gentle boys. My mother died in 2016 before Christmas. She left behind her 5 sons and a sister. Zeke and Charlie preceded her. I live in West Texas and would like to extend my warmest thanks to you for sharing these snapshots of your family's life with us. Memories of my youth and my mother's careful nurturing of us come flooding back. I am left with a smile and a certainty, that wherever people live in this world we all love Happy Chocolate. It's just a cutesy way of saying dog, just like doggie/doggy. And no, obviously a human female can't give birth to a dog, it's just a way of saying the dog is so precious to you that it's like your baby.
