We have three beagles sisters . In April will be their birthday. Do not like bath time at all. Difficult to dry them completely.

It's amazing how dogs can relate words we say with the consequent actions. He only heard "bath" and started wimpering and throwing a fit, I love him.

Ed's Sports Channel I think this whole video sums up that some dogs can be really, really overdramatic. Oliver acting like he was *covered* in water when he wasn’t is very typical for him. As someone who’s owned 3 dogs at minimum at any given time, I can absolutely say that any overdramatic dog can and will act like they’re drowning when they’re just standing in an inch of water. Get off your ego

Not only is this a GREAT beagle...but this is a GREAT owner! Beagles require great patience, and this guy is wonderful. Kudos!!

My dog is half Beagle (half Springer Spaniel).. She acts in a very similar way to Oliver. I grew up around Springers, but myself and my family have never owned Beagles before. They're hard work, but bring so much joy to your life

I had a male Cocker. If he wouldn't stop barking when visitors showed up at the front door...all I had to do is "Dusty...want to take a bath?". He immediately stopped barking and left the room.

Oliver was annoyed because it's not normal the way he's always washing him. We are missing our beagle Jake, he was 12 years old. He knew when we were talking about him, we could call him pooch, Jake, Jakie, dog, or it got to the point that we would spell D-O-G and he would still know it was about him. Be careful spelling dinner out to often, he will start to understand, hahaha! Such beautiful, sweet and intelligent dogs. Oh, our Jake didn't like baths either, he wanted all the scents he collected to stay on him, since he was a scent hound. Baths reset him to zero. He would get the zoomies as well and also run his neck all over the carpet. Thank you for sharing your friend with us, it gives me comfort. End of novel.

Oliver said that you didn't wash his back, therefore a bath never took place. Cute, smart, anxious Oliver beagle. Waiting to understand very clearly something the human say, or does, or want. I love Oliver's on alert stance. 🥰 "Just your paws" said twice sounded so convincing, almost commanding. Oliver's human guardian is definitely not the hunting type, but the kind "pushover" type of personality. There is however much affection and respect in this home! And Oliver has lots of toys to entertain.

Teresa Serrone Just do your research first. Beagles are adorable but they have extremely high energy levels and are really hard to train(very headstrong. They also have a tendency to “wander” (they are great escape artists).

You can train a beagle to stay in a yard,but it takes a while. Be sure they are on a leash. They are also loud barkers.

And probably the best advice we can give is get pet insurance. That way vet bills do not add up fast.

I've never know one of these angels who didn't run around the house celebrating something. Celebrating that the bath is over. So cute. The perfect creatures, particularly when raised and nurtured properly. You're OK, Ollie!

Oliver is adorable. I had a Be able years ago. He was my baby. His name was Barney. People always told me that Beagles were not indoor dogs. Barney was the perfect indoor dog. Every night before we went to sleep , he made his rounds to check the house , and made sure that it was safe to go to bed. Then he would get into his little bed by me. Aww! I miss my Barney. 💔
