Not sure if it classifies as a glitch or not, but I managed to beat the Rocket Mafia Man mission despite the game saying "This mission isn't possible with your current equipment."

DPadGamer if you use the scooter and clear out the enemies beforehand (particularly the bird at the end of the ramp) and jump (and dive, if you want)) youn just barely grab the timepiece before the game counts it as a loss. My first time, it actually changed camera angles, but my momentum carried me to it, and I won. I can try to get a recording of it, if you wish; or just try it for yourself.

Another thing, I got stuck in the t-pose on pc after climbing a wall on a cliff. I could still move but couldn't attack.

2:01 through 2:05 my favorite part.

I just bought this game and absolutely LOVE it! I know I'm late to the party, but it's SO WORTH every penny! Grew up with the N64 RARE games and this feels like a well-established and staple to that action platform genre of old, but super FRESH! I'm eating Gears for Breakfast and enjoying every minute of it!💯👍👍💯🍻

the no-bonk wall slide is still not patched but I don't really want them to fix it because it is a fun way to get around that map. It feels like surfing from CSGO.

Something I accidentally did on my first playthrough: On top of the giant mushroom in Subcon Valley, a double jump and a dive off the edge can carry you over the foxfire wall. I cleared Subcon well before signing away my soul, and on a second runthrough, avoided selling it all together.

A Hat In Time is truly a fantastic game. I beat it, then 100%-ed it, and am now on a second playthrough.

I found a glitch for the switch version of a hat in time. Enter the “Down with the Mafia” boss battle in solo mode. Get to the boss area. Once the battle starts, enter co op mode. Congratulations, Bow kid can now move freely around the stage, ignoring the 2-D aspect of the boss. You can also just kill off Hat kid to get a better view. Enjoy!

Been taking my time with this game and it seems a lot if not most glitches have been patched by now. Good work finding those issues. You're like a semi-unpaid glitch tester

You should do a part 2 for some of the lesser known glitches/less important glitches, like some more hookshot clips or speedrun tricks.

The Quick Brown Fox Jumps Over The Lazy Dog / Oh God.

This looks like a fun game, and there are some really cool glitches! Great video!

I normally don't like 3d platformers but this is becoming my favorite game

I also found a glitch; if you try to use the scooter during one of the events with Snatcher, then Hat Kid will start to move around as though she is on the scooter, however the scooter model doesn't appear. So you're left to float around with dust flying around you.

Dont know if this was mentioned in the later video's but a neat unpatched mechanic in hat in time is that when you first meet snatcher for the start of contractual obligations, if you have the scooter badge equipped, the scooter will be invisible, not very useful but still fun to watch hat kid drive on a invisible scooter.

I don't care how old this vid is I respect that cool runnings reference!

Something else in subcon forest is when you climb to the top of the big mushroom, then using the sprint hat jump off the mushroom while sprinting then dash towards the purple wall. You can actually go over the firewall and into that area. You also need to do it where the wall is closest to the mushroom for the best chance of it working. Granted you’ll be stuck, but still.

Drill Operator: All of our drill bits are broken. Think you can find more? Me: Yep! (slaps a scooter on the drill bit mount) Drill Operator: Perfect.

In subcon (if you haven’t killed any of the later fire fox spirits) you can dash in between the purple wall and a tree in the path to the village to get sent flying upwards. This can take you so high that you go over the vertical invisible wall and completely bypass it. In some situations, it can drop you right next to a time rift.

There's a bunch of speedrun glitches people have found. To start with, there's quick kills for Mafia Boss and the Toilet which I'm guessing are failsafes to stop the game from getting stuck if you're in the wrong place during certain attacks, and a quick kill for the snatcher where they whack him a few dozen times before he's supposed to be vulnerable and then once he turns blue he dies in one hit. They also can clip between floors of the Lava Cake by taking damage, and can ride the Windmill all the way to the top of its level without doing any of it.

I love the protagionist Hat Kid, and the soundtrack is amazing!

For the banjo costume, there should be a banjo head hat that allows you to say “Guh-huh!” In Hat Kid’s voice, and the umbrella is Kazooie

in alpine sky line there is a glitch with the time rift nearest to spawn where if you use the grapple right when you touch the time rift portal you can repeatedly grapple while time is froze, and you dont go in the portal so your stuck. you can fix this by just pressing space

two glitches: if you go to the main menu while having a rental badge you can keep it and in Rhythm Bird Studio in Death Wish holding Hat Swap the blocks swap with the not-slowed music, meaning Hat Kiddo is in slow-mo and the blocks are not

Hey, I found a use for the item stacking glitch. Stack one item on another and make the stacked item below the held item. If the spacing is correct, and you find the right spot, you can walk onto the item below whilst holding the item it's "stacked" on and fly. It's hard and requires practice, but "works". You will know that you did it right if you start spinning out of control. You must jump to stop the spinning and (for me) reliably move. But I found it was fun to pretend to be kirby with the tornado ability from time to time.

The cool thing with a hat in time (at least on the PC version) if there is a glitch that has been patched the devs have made version 1.0, pre dlc 1, pre dlc 2, and current version all accessible in the join beta menu you can see in properties section.

This Is EXACTLY What We Needed

Even on the switch I have encountered glitches and I wasn't even trying! One of them was on the very first Mafia Town map, I fell through the planetarium roof and got stuck inside it. Another time Hat kid got frozen in her injured animation where I could move around and do commands but she wouldn't do those animations.

So many of those glitches had Hat Kid's face slamming into and sliding against all kinds of rough surfaces. I feel sorry for her...

don't forget the hatkid swears mod where every time you get hit or anything bad happens to you hat kid just sais "f**k" and "Sh!t"

Another Glich is where In act 4 the free roam, when you go to the bird house and there are this ledge of spikes. If you dive into it you will be stuck and the only option is to exit the level

I don't really know how to describe it, but here I goooo. I don't know if I discovered it, but in deadbird studios if you go to the cases on the right you can go to the top. Go to the highest case and do a small jump and move forward. Right as you touch the ground quickly do another small jump and bam you're in the wall. Pressing forward move Hat Kid upward once inside the wall. It's not very well described, but I thought it was interesting. I just randomly stumbled upon it while playing.

even if any of these glitches weren't corrected at the time, i can imagine them all instantly being corrected based upon how fast the team behind the game responds to glitches and stuff of any sort.

I've got another one in the Forest. There are some wooden plattforms and when I jump on them I get stuck. Most of the time it takes time to slide down or let hat kid completly flip out but sometimes my game froze. This are the platforms with the big icewall in the swamp.

You can softlock yourself in the birdhouse where the spikes on the house are. When you get to the circle platforms, jump on the non spiky part of the house and go forward. You will slide and be stuck.

I found a glitch in a murder on owl express where if you get spotted by the birds and fall into lava at the same time, you get stuck in a pose and just float around.

The dirt wall glitch in subcon forest works on switch!

It is also possible to hold an invisible umbrella/bat for the new dlc. The steps :are to hit with any one of the weapons and switch as soon as done. It will commonly get you in a pose with the arms to the side. Don't worry it will stop in a bit so you don't have to reset the game☺️

Using the cherry stack thing, but just 2, by scraping it uphill, you can stand on the floating object, then grab the original cherry, causing infinite height gain.

Backflip glitch: get hookshot badge grapple on something, unequip badge while grappling and there

I found a lot of gliches. In the Mafia Club there is a Mafia Guy who blocks the entrance to see the boss and if you have the dash hat you run and dive into him and he magically disspaears

Bought this game immediately after watching.

I was able to get stuck in the door to the Mafia cavern by spamming Ice hat while flying through the doors with the cannon. Was pretty neat, but also gets you soft-locked.

I've just downloaded the PS4 version, been playing for about 2 hours - proper exploring so haven't gotten too far. When Moustache Girl and Cooking Cat appeared in my ship, they were both hovering above the ground, like Cooking Cat is in this vid. I'm yet to get any other characters onto the ship so will keep you posted lol.

I hope that fruit stacking will not get patched. It would give some more options for moding to create some puzzle platforming.

Using the no bonk badge you can slide on the slope all the way over a part of the red fire spirit wall and access that area early

Great video. A few glitches I missed in my cover of the game! Not that... Anyone watched it. hahaha Probably should have waited a few weeks after release to find some better glitches ... Anyways, It's good to see another glitcher taking over. Keep it up.

i actually got the subcon well glitch on my first playthrough i did manage to escape it though XD

I had the cooking cat get stuck like that too. Maybe it is a matter where the spawning position of the roomba coincides with the position of the cat, elevating them a little.

You can also use the Apple glitch of stacking that if you push an apple into the other Apple then press control and then jump on the Apple but you just dropped and pick up the other Apple it starts to make you fly or spin around or do crazy stuff

I got stuck in the cavern in 1.0 just by using the cannons that are supposed to shoot you all the way to the other side. My cruddy machine at the time is likely to blame. I don't know if it was a collision timer, or some other flawed code, but the cannon shot me through the first set of doors, and the water geyser, as it should, and then I slammed head-first into the back of the second pair of doors, and was trapped inside the cavern. I was able to have this happen at least twice. I use a newer laptop and a newer MS Windows now, and the game has had numerous updates, so no idea if it's still possible with an older machine and\or operating system.

I think they knew what they were doing when they gave you a copy. Excellent way to look for bugs lol

why i love indie devs

I literally 14 hour marathon 100%'d this game yesterday and some of these glitches still work but in my case they fixed themselves in just a matter of seconds. Item stacking still works in some situations. hooked myself into certain surfaces but popped out when I moved. I explored around the Queen's mansion before entering and clipped under it on accident but again popped out. I even got a bucket of lobsters/crawfish stuck to the mafia dude blocking the door whom I assume is a reference to Ocarina of Time. also in the flooding well I stood on top of the cork when hooking the chain and I fell through the pipe and couldn't jump out for a few seconds. Hat kid floating happened to me a few times as well but fixed soon after. Also that pool in mafia town I remember jumping in once and walking around on the bottom of it. Can't remember how it just happened. Also in the floating islands zone when scaling the windmill, those little wood platforms that are attached to the actual windmill propellers, they're apparently not solid objects when they slightly shake at a certain spot. I fell right through the center of them 2 times until they got past the shaking animation. Can't remember anything else. Oh wait the crows on the train murder level default to trash talking about hat kid's BUTT if you manage to escape the area before they stop you and ask about it.

I don't know when you'll see this but I found a glitch where if you enter a time rift while constantly pressing the camera badge button you can actually move with the camera menu on and change filters and depth of view.

You missed one I found... If I remember right in the secret level for dead bird studio there's a room with a bunch of ropes you can jump on. In that room there's a hole in the wall with pipes and you can actually climb up there and get out of bounds. Might be patched, tho.

I made a strange glitch on a hat in time First do the hookshot glitch on the windmill passage(sorry if the name is wrong if forgot)and then i replace hookshot badge for a random badge and then i slow the time with time stop hat and then when tye time stop hat effect was over i use the camera badge and then I WAS WALKING EVEN WITH CAMERA BADGE That bug was really weird but very cool

You can get in the cavern when going through the cavern with the cannon go in and out of camera mode I do not know if this works on pc but it dose on the switch in there the collision boxes are no accurate and are annoying but there are some cool things in there

You forgot the subcon well glitch, it happened to me making everything black and the time piece somewhat obtainable, because I got it but it didn't say the act was done, so I couldn't get to snatcher and all the other time pieces in other acts

I actually found that last glitch by mistake. There's a much better ares where you can perform it with ease.

i have done a glitch in mafia town, its at a rocky spot near the beach you will glitch underground and you can swim around under mafia town (yes there is just water under mafia town)

I had a glitch that triggered at random on mafia town. I was stuck floating forever. I could jump to slowly gain height and wait to slowly descend. Super weird and interesting.

one time i was in the final boss and mustache girl just fell out of the world and wouldn't come back up, so i had to redo the whole level
