$175 after %10 off code at White Mountain Knives is insane. I've heard people boo XHP but I love it on my Chaparral. I've only had good experiences with it.

Spyderco’s XHP is excellent, it’s hard, takes and holds a crazy fine edge, easy to maintain and is one of my favorites to sharpen. Also old firehose makes great sheaths for axes and other edged tools.

XHP is one of the steels I don't have yet, and I've been interested in this model from Spyderco for a while. My Manix 2XL in ELMAX came with a screaming sharp edge. Spyderco has been nailing the Edge. Great video. Thanks

Thank you! I had never tried any XHP before either and damn, it blew me away. Yeah, Spyderco always had great factory edges, but this one was even sharper than usual 🤠

Channel has been sick lately! Love these cut tests. IMO, if the sway back had a modified sheepsfoot vs a wharncliff, that would be awesome. Hence why the Paysan is my dream Spyderco knife! That aside... would love to see a comparison on the Native 5 Magnacut vs Hogue Deka Magnacut just to see how their steel qualities match. Oh and if you could throw in a Kizer Amicus... haha their budget line seems promising!

Xhp loves a good stopping other people always say oh it's just a stainless D2 but it's much more than that and if I'm not mistaken I think Spyderco runs it pretty hard

How would you sharpen this knife? Since it’s got a hollow grind. Would it be a good idea to just use a stone and strop? Or does it need to be sharpened on a wheel of some sort, to keep it that sharp? Awesome video by the way!

Just stones and strop would be fine! Or a fixed angle sharpener, like the Precision Adjust
