Ate some Jackfruit the other day, and had decent taste, firmish, and fairly fruity fragrance. Sorta like? A firm peach or nectarine, not as sweet, sorta chewy and crunchy. I like this fruit and would eat again. Thanks for sharing this video of Jackfruit.

It’s supposed to be very sweet, maybe yours wasn’t fully ripe. My grandma had a tree in her yard, and I would eat jackfruit all the time.

When I lived in Dominican Republic and as a kid my siblings and I used to get into the forest just to get to those two trees which destiled a heavenly smell several meters away from them and you get fascinated by it, it's the most exotic flavor and I've ever tasted in my whole life. The last time I ate it was around 16 years ago, I'm 29 now.

I really want to try jackfruit but haven’t been able to find any fresh in the UK, I have found it in tins in the supermarket but I’m guessing this is not going to be anywhere near as good as a fresh one, what does it taste like ? kind of looks like it should taste like pineapple
