I'm not saying take a pressure washer to your interior or engine bay, but it's not a problem. sometimes it is actually used deliberately to diagnostic faulty parts (usually plug wires) because you can duplicate the issue that way. key word, issue. if it's not insulated from water it's a faulty part.

I think when cleaning products talk about that in their directions it's a "cover our ass for the dumbest people out there" thing. you'll be fine as long as you don't take what I just said to some wierd extreme. like a pressure washer for example. you might find out something is faulty, however if that happens, park the car in the sun or something let it dry out, take it to a shop and tell them what happened. like 90% of the time, it'll be a misfire because your plug wires are on the way out or something like that. or mechanical failure like an intake gasket leaking sucking the water into the engine. again, even that not a big deal. think of it like running it on a crazy humid day in Florida. the engine will be fine unless you don't fix it for a long period of time. it can only indicate a problem exists before that problem leaves you stranded on a terribly rainy day leaves you stranded on such a miserable day. edit, I'm just trying to be helpful I hope that's coming through in my comments. I'm not the actual smart people that figured out how to do this stuff, but the engineers that did figure it out are incredibly smart, and there's a lot of them involved in making your car with giant budgets for fuck around and find out. they thought about it so we don't have to

Pros can get it done in less than 4 hours. In my area, it's $400 for everything. Engine, interior, lights, exterior, trunk, everything. So it's a bit on the higher end, but it's worth it boss. A lot of labor and supplies being used for your one car, for this entire job and a half. Suggest detailing yourself if you truly think this price range is too much for ya.

It does actually. Prior damage or wear and tear definitely matters and that’s why shops take notes. Imagine fixing or washing a car and the customer comes back stating you damaged something that was already fucked up but because you didn’t document it now you have to take care of it. A lady did that just today at my job. We fixed the rear end of her car and she came back with part of her center console in her hands claiming we broke it. We showed her and our bosses the prior pictures of it already being damaged and she had to take a hike. People/customers will absolutely try to fuck you over and scam you for more services than what they paid for and try throwing a bitch fit hoping it gets them their way and when it doesn’t they act like you’ve lost a customer or they try to defame your company name by giving shitty reviews

The reason people are "crapping" on the customer is because working in the automotive industry, you get to see patterns of people trying to get free things by complaining about nothing. Been there many times. I learned that having a camera and inspecting the vehicle with customer gives you the best chance of assessing risk. Why? Because if the customer starts making odd demands and seemingly unattainable expectations then it's pretty much a cheap customer looking for a freebie. It's better to lose customers like that than to have to work under for free or at threats of lawsuits. Fact is, some people are just looking to rip you off. Others maybe not but are never happy. Neither is worth the headache.
