Retired now and out of the game but still try and help out friends and family and came across your channel as a friend has a difficult to diagnose issue with the can bus coms error, U codes on a ford Bmax. Loss of pas, no rev counter working etc and crank sensor fault code which has bee changed three times by two different garages. I haven't really got the skill set or background in modern vehicle deep diagnostics so I doubt I can help but will run my own scan. I honestly wish you were close by Im pretty sure you would pick up there issues quickly. Brilliant chanell and so refreshing to see how methodical and thorough you are, far too many garages look at the fault codes, guess and take a punt costing the customer ridiculous sums and getting nowhere.

Brilliant work Ryan... That Audi was a peach.. I hope the owner gets a refund for the work he paid for that obviously wasn't done. He was well & truly swikked.. A close neighbour had to replace the foot break switch on his Chinese MG, so it might just be a common issue.

Hi Ryan, had a look on the MG diagnostics manual for B1066, there's a few possible causes and the diagnostic procedure is a bit lengthy for a comment, if you want I can text your work number my google drive link for the manuals and wiring diagrams That Audi is a disgrace! Who would put their name to that!? Like you said take pride in your work Puts a bad name on the trade when people think it's acceptable to charge someone for that (wouldn't even call it a repair) Good honest work as always!

Bloody upsets me mate I’ve been on the spanner’s since 1975 seen that sort of repair if you can call it that plenty of times and it sickens me to think they are in my trade. Sad thing is they will have made more money on that job than you did Grrrrr.

  • @tomhope4613

The part at the end with the mg and brake pedal position switch code…… does the pedal need pressed to start?. Reason I ask is my dad’s berlingo semi auto would have a gearbox fault during the summer then vanish in cold weather. Turned out the switch was sticking slightly in hot weather and because the box uses the sensor as part of the system it was throwing the code thinking the brake pedal and accelerator were being pressed together. So I’d say if the switch on the mg is stuck then could cause a no start

Was out on a drive testing it stoped at traffic lights stop start cut the engine then would not restart . I then had to cycle the ignition it started . That was once it did that then sometimes it would not stop start then it would . Finally before I moved it on I was just reading the codes for fun it flashed up 8 fault codes various code abs engine ecm ect for about 1 second then 1 second later they all vanished. Very strange . Chinese electronics will never buy one again. God only knows why it did it truly it was like there was gremlin’s in the electrical system never again . Do your customer a favour them them to get rid
