I wish you spent more time showing the drop in of the box and the assembly of the final product. I would have loved to see how you connected that piece of floor you cutt off to fit it in.. I really wish you spent more time on the video piece. Many of us are here for ideas that we are trying to complete in our heads. Thanks tho, and I did enjoy the video overall... thumbs up

Just looking at doing something similar myself, nice to see some inspiration! The only thing I would change about that, is the removable piece. I'd add another on the opposite side to make it even easier to remove, access the space underneath to put things possibly, and it would aesthetically look better as the cuts would be symmetrical. Nice work!

Hey man. I think the system is pretty cool. Only thing ill change is 2 things. Number 1 remove the amp from the box as it can damage ur amp over time, vibration etc of components etc . Other thing is idd add a piano hinge to the side of the cutoff u made that way its one unit but foldable to sore things there too

As long as it’s not a SPL setup and you have rubber stoppers in between the amp and the box where the screws are you will be perfectly safe mounting your amp on your sub box 🤙

If you build your sub box properly it shouldnt be a problem. Boxes shouldnt viabrate/flex

Neat install. Soundproofing the boot floor will give you a better sound quality(less vibration)

Not bad at all, considering that you're not an installer, looks very neat, simple & clean. Please don't take the following to heart, your video can help improve someone else with their install, thus with my pointers they can learn from your tiny errors. Pointers for the future, use cardboard to trace corners to get a snug fit, never mount an amp to the box, heat & vibration causes solder to melt & drop down. Get a grille cover for the driver. Don't force the jigsaw forward, rather let it cut slow & steady than fast and inaccurate, that's why the blade came off.

Im planning on a similar project. The only thing i would do different is have the speaker flush with the floor, maybe even 3cm sunken, with a perspect cover so that i can truly use the boot as per normal. I think you would hate if you carried tools and a tool punctured your speaker as you have it.

Yea rather not talk about that, mmh wish i can get sound in my car. Closest i got to one was 2 6x9's and head unit and then stole it out. Now im singing to myself😓😱
