This^^ this is what my art teacher didnt understand. He had us fill out project proposal forms in grade twelve art because we got to choose what our projects were but one of the questions was always "what are you trying to accomplish, what do you want people to feel" and my answer was always "idk i just think itll look cool and be fun"

Jazz’s, as a creator, you need to make a little “selfish content” now and then. If you do what everyone else wants you to do all the time, you get burnt out. Selfish content not only prevent burnout, but it’s just fun. Personally, I love it when creators make their selfish content because I get to see something they enjoy/something they really want to do.

If anything it's probably worse for you. You're not just drawing for others you're drawing something on them that's permanent. Once you start putting on the skin, If you mess up you can't just throw it in the trash and start over.

I really felt that It's easy to forget that art's about having fun, and not just about being good at it; that goes for a lot of things, too I mean it's different for you, obviously, since you can permanently mess someone up :D

When he said that he wanted to feel the "I made that, I like that.", I was just overwhelmed with joy. Honestly, I'm never hardly satisfied with my works but when I do get *that* feel, it just really gives that euphoria of wow. And it makes it feel even better when I see others appreciate my work (makes heart go squeeze XD). So good on you Mr. Jazza! You have once again created such a wonderful piece and continue to inspire aspiring artists :)

Fun fact, tattoos don't have to mean anything. Many people get them just because they like them. It's nice to sometimes have a tattoo that is commemorative or a memorial or a badge of loyalty to important things, but some tattoos are just pretty, or are someone's favorite animal, or just a celebration of ownership over one's body and the ability to become a canvas for art.

The Disney story really spoke to me as jazza has been here since my art took a more personal turn seeing his videos made me wanna draw more and more and helped form my style as it is today , I am still young but since I discovered draw with jazza art became a passion to me not just a pass time

I once had a client who requested a mural painting inside their room, was afraid to attempt as I was most doing outside murals. Now I'm inspired like always after watching this channel....

To me, this is Jazza at his best. He is doing something he loves and you can see that throughout the video. Its classic Jazza back and you love what he does because you can tell he does.

It’s been ages and I’m still sad that we don’t call it the “Jazzatar”

Jazza, I grew up being told that creative pursuits were a waste of time and money. It wasn't until I was 35 and out of curiossity I started taking personality tests and I discovered that I'm actually a very creative person. I can cook, draw, play an instrument, write, read at a very high level, enjoy out of the box problem solving and many other things that I just did when I had the time and wasn't working. "I made that. I like that!" might be one of the greatest feelings in the world. I built my kitchen all myself with my dad and everytime I walk into it I bubble up with pride.

Doing selfish projects is always necessary in my opinion! Most artists spend so much time making things for other people that throwing in selfish projects for ourselves helps us keep that spark of creativity alive. I love making art for other people, but it's so satisfying to make something for myself that I'm really proud of.

Jazza did a video where he took thrift store paintings and vandalized them. I got so inspired, I bought some old paint-by-numbers at a garage sale the very next day and did the same. One was of a ship on the ocean, so I painted a tourist on a floaty, about to get crushed by the ship in full mast that was bearing down on him. The other was of a horse and a dog playing in a farm yard. I gave them astronaut helmets and painted the background to look like the moon. Thanks, Jazza! You always inspire me.

Know that this video wasn’t selfish. This video was about self care. Also watching you get so happy about doing something you love is why I subscribed years ago. Watching you get stupid happy over your job is a joy.

This is so satisfying to see. It doesn’t look real! When you showed the finish product it looked almost computer generated. It’s so clean, it looks so good, and it was so cool to hear you explain why you drew those characters. This is still one of my favorite channels on KZread!

If that door painting puts you in a good mood then don't apologize. That's not selfish. You're taking care of your mental health. You are an amazing artist. With all the stress that can come from life, it's never selfish to do things that make you happy.

There is nothing selfish about creating just for you, creating for creations sake! You have worked hard your entire life to write your own story, why not illustrate that story anyway you see fit!! I get told another that the things I have been through and overcome inspire other people to keep fighting, and while that is wonderful sometimes we just need to inspire ourselves !! Your outlook and attitude are so so AWESOME!! I am someone who believes everything in life is a choice and life only has the power over you that you give it! If you become so obsessed with making things we love, then how can you say you always love your art? Sometimes the best thing for an artist is to just draw/paint/craft/sculpt for themselves and no one else. So selfish? No, Jazza this was incredible to watch and see come to life, and your passion for art is what keeps this channel interesting. So never lose that please, even if it means a 'selfish' project once in a while.

I think this may be your best video so far (I should know I've seen almost all of them) not only for the beautiful artwork but especially for sharing that sometimes we forget how many good things we achieved so far and only focus on the negative feelings. It's good to remind ourselves of our achievements, I don't read it as selfishness, I think it's healthy, inspiring and keeps us motivated for future challenges. TLDR; Love the door, love the video, thank you for inspiring us.

I know that feeling he's talking about. Looking back at it and being like... That makes me happy, and I did that. This, is my favourite video of his, and it's tugging at my inner creator. It's sparking the wick of inspiration, and is reminding me that "I exist" in this world that makes you forget that fact.

Funny how I thought the fire was real and it didn't even surprise me cause it's Jazza lmao Really enjoyed the video tho
