The shoes came out amazing when I did it thank you so much. But I found that layering 3 white layers under the yellow required less paint and made it stand out more, kinda like a blank base.

Off white? I had some navy blue Van's slip ons that were old and faded. There were also dirty from work. They had black scuff marks on them from tires. I unload tires for a living. Containers of new tires for TireHub. I got tired of looking at the things. As the rubber around the shoe began to come loose, I super glued it back on. Then I scrubbed them with a toothbrush and warm soapy water. Then I bought a blue Pilot marker at Fisher Hawaii office supply. I colored them blue with the marker. They look sharp now. Almost like new. They now have a second life. I also colored the stretchy white bands blue. It looks cooler. Now they look like blue velvet house slippers.
