Custom magnets from your scrap wood with a diode laser

While testing the Sculpfun S30, I decided to make some custom magnets for my wife and me. I pulled some scrap wood from the cut-off pile and played with the design in Lightburn. I'll show you how I made these so you can make some too on your diode laser!

Nice! It would of been cool to engrave the back of your logo a bit and inlay the magnets.

I was going for simple with these. But I have made them in the past where I drop them into the CNC router to pocket out for the magnets to be flush with the back. You just have to make sure they don’t end up too strong without a way to grip behind the piece to move it.
What do you mean by auto air cut at 1:35? I thought air assist was always on or always off.

The sculpfun S30 series has the air pump connected to the control board so that lightburn can tell it to turn off and on based on the layer setting. So you can have it automatically turn on during a cut operation but shut off for an engrave if needed. I’ll show that in more detail when I post the full machine review.
