Maybe im wrong, but there was no directive to terminating in what sequence on second end of same cable. if black was one on first end, black is one on second end?

Is DMX for high power lighting ...? and XLR for audio..? really, what is the difference..?

DMX is data, and XLR is analog signal. In microphone cable sometimes all the data doesn't make the entire trip successfully. It works, but it's unreliable for DMX data.

CANT USE AUDIO CABLE FOR DMX!!!!!!!

+Joshua Lopez The cables used in this video are not "audio cables". We use the same cable for audio applications in our TV station due to it's quad shielding. This Belden cable is the same impedance as DMX cable and is used for asynchronous serial data communications for RS232 data protocols. DMX data transfers along cables in the same way and that is why this cable works with DMX applications. I have been using over 25 of these cables for 5 years now with all of my uplights and have no issues and have never had issues on any event. It's all about proper impedance and knowing cable characteristics that make it work.

That is not DMX, DMX explicitly forbids 3pin XLR connectors

All of my lighting uses 3 pin axle connectors. The connector universal. The wire is what determines xlr and dmx.
