Man, what a labor of love. It's a great looking part and the joy on your face when you were done is down right infectious. You can't help but smile seeing that. I agree with the other poster, you should incorporate the endcaps for the bumper when you do it. Going to be a challenging mold but it will look really slick.

I really wonder what the weight is now, with the holes in it, because you told us that it was 400gr, but that was before you trimmed and cut it. Must be lighter now, right? Looks freaking awesome btw😍

Not sure to be honest dude! I’ll definitely weigh it again at some point. It’s feather weight that’s for sure.

Whats your wet sanding process like post 2k clear? Ive always done 1k, 1k wet, 2k wet, 3k wet, buff, polish.

Usually it’s 1500 wet, 2000 wet, 3000 (trizact) wet, rotary heavy cut, DA heavy cut and then polish with the DA again.

Doesn't it defeat the purpose of vacuum bagging if you put more layer of resin after. Clear coat only also will yield good result.

Nice job with the vacuum bag can you remember what size the bag was by any chance?

@@BuildCreate I'm doing the same process as you right now only I have forgot to use the breather material inside the bag so hopefully I haven't fused the peel ply to the epoxy on my panel!! 😂

@@psycho3344 the peel ply will come off. The breather/bleeder is used to absorb excess resin 🤙🏻
