I got the Mezco One Batman specifically because of that head sculpt, no idea how they got it so accurate at that scale, it's like a mini Hot Toys sculpt almost.

I was LUCKY ENOUGH to do an interview with MICHAEL KEATON'S MOVEMENT DOUBLE CARL NEWMAN, over this past year whom actual wore the 1989 SUIT PERFORMING stunts and is also featured in some of the MOST ICONIC scenes/shots from the 1989 film. Thank you 🙏 making this custom is like having the best of both worlds , in person the Mezco head looks so realistic ,it’s the best sculpt of M Keaton IMO

My biggest issue with the figure is not that the neck articulation breaks up the cowl, It’s the way the base of the neck connects with the lower part of the cowl. It should be a smooth curve from neck to the webbed part, not a sharp angle. They did it right on the Flash Keaton figure, why mess it up on the 89 figure?

Yes I completely agree My dad has that flash Batman and he pointed out that exact same thing the 1st time they released photos of the 89 Batman , but the Mezco sculpt is definitely superior, It works great we have helped so many in the community to make this custom , It’s awesome to see so many of our custom 89 Batman that we have inspired This was so much fun and helping people out on Instagram was an absolute blast blast 👊 If you ever have a Mezco head feel free to dm us in Instagram Thankyou for liking watching and commenting 🔥👊

I love what you’ve done here and I’ve seen others do it - I entirely intend to make this custom myself but I read your info about it not being easy and how to preserve the original head. I modified the body of the gold label McFarlane Batman so that I can use any of the 4 head sculpt of the Mezco 1:12 1989 Batman

Does the mezco head easily pop on or do you need to modify anything?

Yes Once you remove the McFarlane head carefully you’ll need to modify the body With a Dremel or sharp hobby knife you need to scrap away where the full cowl sits for the Mezco head can sit properly I was able to put a strong magnet in order to use all the 4 Mezcos head sculpts If you have a Instagram account my dad can send pics to how much was removed at the body
