I’m glad someone else had the idea to customize this prop as Sandy Claws. Makes WAY more sense given that most of the lines he’s programmed with refer more to Christmas than Halloween

Honestly wish more people would do stuff like that. A lot of the props would look better repainted, re costumed, or fixing their wigs/ giving them hands, etc. Kind of like those people that buy cheap plastic dolls and repaint/dress/redo the hair and they look like the dolls that sell for several hundred.

I was lucky to get the Animatronic Jack, Sally, Zero AND the huge 8 × 20 ft cardboard background display of Nightmare Before Xmas 25th anniversary..Spirit had when these came out....im keeping them up for Oct thru the holidays....half my yard I'm gonna let stay black with Halloween stuff. Esp Graves. Other side im doing xmas...lol. Just gotta dress him up.

It was a few years ago, but just stuff that they had at Joanns Fabric Store. Red velvety material and some fur lol.

Look at the date on the video, I did this over 5 years ago. Gemmy made an "ok" version of this about a year ago, but mine was much higher quality (to be expected).

Any list of components you used? Is the voice chip custom?

I was more interested in the Sandy Claws outfit. The boots, and tunic/hat/beard. I have the animatronic, but didn't see any components out there which fit so well. It also sounded like there were Christmas sayings vs. the Halloween sayings for the voice.

If you're wondering about the Christmas speech/sayings/lines... I think they are already programmed in it from factory. He has 12 lines, Halloween and Christmas mixed :-)

Midnight Haunter yeah if you add on to a prop it's custom especially changing the WHOLE suit , that's a lot work making the suit fit the way it is on this.
