What you didnt mentioned is the crossover work and quality of the parts that they uses is off the chart compare to other manufacturers.... they are off the charts !!!

Do you need staff for correction and repair?

I've got a question if you don't mind - what are the smallest batches that are run? It seems to be really hard to get information, and inquiries are mostly rejected, so we couldn't find out what is considered infeasible.

"Default name" is about the worst possible channel name possible! :) I enjoyed the video, I recommend asking someone who knows KZread enough to set up your basic channel settings. You don't need an expert, just someone who knows more than the person who create the channel.

Does anyone know what the tool is at 3:27 …? It looks like a tool to hold sandpaper for sanding small flat and curved areas. And I have many types of sandpaper related tools but I’ve never seen one of those. A brand or even the proper name of it would be super appreciated.

It appears to be a piece of bar stock with half of the circumference milled off. A slot at the end to tuck the paper into & hand tension used on the tag end to keep the sandpaper taught. I would assume that it was created by a tool & die maker for that specific purpose.

"sandpaper file" or "sandpaper stick" seems to yield some search hits and products (e.g. Extron)

i always wondered how extrusions with holes in it are made, how is the mold part that creates the hole attached to the rest of the mold?

As far as I know, holes are added after the extrusion, rolling the profiles through somekind of machine that pushes out the holes quickly

A part called a "backer" is attached to the actual die.. the aluminum flows thru the backer before it comes out of the die. Kind of hard to explain in text lol

There are different types of extrusion dies , the ones with holes are call hollow dies and are built with three componenets, the female ,the male and the baker. this three parts are hold together with bolts. if you look for a hallow die on you tube probably you can find more information. Also they use a solid die, feeder plate dies and bridge dies.I use to work on the extrusion process for about 15 years and kind to know the process.

Yes it is the die, with four ports, at the entrance of the die, when the hot malleable aluminum enters the the die thru four ports the profile gets welded inside the die, and it comes out with hollow as it emerges from the die. This is called a hollow die.

That's normal, there's usually a foot to three feet of scrap that comes off each end of the extrusion before it goes to the finish saw to be cut to final length.

I dont like the fact its going automated. We do run out by hand at hydro. But the newer presses are automated and the more the take away our old presses we lose jobs.
