Step through time and worlds with a #vacation to #Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire of the Sun. Since the 16th century, Spanish colonial buildings were built atop former Inca Palaces, of which only foundations remain.
In the Urubamba Valley, or #SacredValley, visitors can see the mysterious Moray Terraces and the pre-Inca Salt Mines of Maras. Ollantaytambo is a living Inca city and its towering ruins form the start of the Inca Trail to #MachuPicchu.
The long-lost Inca bastion was uncovered from the jungle in 1911. It remains a mystery how the Incas managed to stack the heavy granite blocks that make up the city’s buildings so precisely, at high altitude.
Little is also known about how the Incas turned a multi-lingual tribal region in an empire that is now known as one of the greatest civilizations in history.

My husband is Peruvian. I visited Peru several times, each time different place, had been to Pucalpa, last time to Colca Canyon, saw flying condors. Fantastic experience and country.

Love going to this place. Used to go every 4 years and every time it felt like I was "recharging" my batteries. Been there by train, bus and walking with the 3 day walk along the Inca trail being the most magnificent of experiences. It holds such wondrous energy and a spiritual essence that is difficult to put into words. You feel like nature is plugging right into your source and feeding you a whole heap of light.

This is a wonderful country, las year I was with my family and we could enjoy their landscapes, culture, food and magic ansestral, is a place that transportsyou to our ancestors. To be in Machu Pichu is to leavethe cosmopolitan city and have an encounter with the espiritual through its structures, peopel and history. Peru is the magic of our history.

been here twice: 2000 and 2016 and the difference is unbelievable... for better and for worse wouldn't mind visiting this area for a 3rd time in a decade to see more contrasts...

I visited others places of Cusco for example Wakrapukara, Pallay Puncho, the red river and the three Gorges of Suykutambo. One of the most wonderfull places to do trekking is Ausangate mountain route. Perú is a wonderfull country.
