Oh my god Darin! Thank you so much! I can’t tell you how much that means to me!
Just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for your videos. I recently purchased a house (short sale) with water damage that had been abandoned for 3 years prior. Yes took care of the mold issue because of it. I have to completely redue the kitchen. I do not want to spend BIG DOLLAR prices on counter tops and many years ago I saw a person who made a cement counter top that when finished was friggen beautiful. Not your method of course but I want to do the same. Now I can with your videos and what I have experienced years back. You give me great incentives to build my own for my new first home. Oh and btw, put die in the mortar mix for different color counter tops. I liked and subscribed and please keep up the AWESOME work. I am 200% sure you have helped many other people as well. Just look at your sub growth.... My thought, because of the expense of counter tops to date, the industry rapes the consumer. This is why I was so thrilled to come across your videos... Cannot thank you enough...

Hey David I don’t know if you’re aware but the Dyes are very limited in color BUT. IN the paint department at Home Depot they have concrete stain in lots of colors blacks reds browns , it goes on dry concrete like paint but it dries like oil or varnish would in a clear thin manner and it looks amazing. I got a gallon to match my tile and it’s super affordable. There’s brochures on it there as well. You can even use a pump sprayer or spray bottle to apply it

@@ChfBgTlk Do you mean let the concrete fully cure, and/or the concrete probably needs to be sealed? (or i guess keep rain out of it)

snowpaw360 to be honest, I'm not really sure. I know you cant use regular bricks or stone to make a fireplace because of risk of explosion. I imagine moisture will be in the mortar or concrete even after it is cured. But if you are putting a heat barrier between the grill and the concrete and the concrete does not reach 212 degrees, you'll be fine.

So, here's an idea: have plexiglass strips in place of the cement gravel as your designs and have a block behind them in the mold like what you did for the sink. Then when it's all finished you'll have space for a battery and LED's for a back lit design. Also, thanks for these video's! I'm definitely gonna make a table when it's not frozen out

@@kellywilliams5112 the dislike button is for feedback. It's there for a reason. to be honest, most of the dislike is probably from people who find his editing style obnoxious. Every cut doesn't need to be some reach for the camera or something moving toward the lens so close that it blacks it out. Ok im gonna admit this is the best counter top video using concrete, was actually gonna give up on the idea. Im a welder by trade but like to build with my own hands or rip things apart and fix it appliances, lawn mowers, whatever i can get my hands on. Things are slow at work because of covid which is a weak flu at best what a crock of well enough on that my point was im gonna take a layoff and take a break from building tanks, and get some work done on my house, i bought a 1912 character house appox. 1900 sq. feet about 5 or 6 years ago and started my renos but other then a new roof, havent finished anything else im ready for my scratch coat stucco now needs to be finished, put some french doors in the dining room where a window was and havent touched it since or started the deck, both of other smaller things started but not finished. In my kitchen was wanting to use concrete for my counter tops which is how i found your video and im glad i did it just totally inspired me to get back at it and not give up on the concrete, not only that but take some time off work maybe permanently and just do my own thing im 43 now i think kids are grown and gone been separated happily for years im sure i can manage if things get to tight i can always go back. But just wanted to say for some reason your video just inspired me in a positive way even found a shed on buy and sell 11 by 22 be perfect for wood working since my garage is mainly welding and mechanical things it would be perfect and only couple hundred bucks and bit of elbow greese. Definitely got my sub great content keep up the good work.
