As a non-EU student studying in the EU, I used Curve to link my credit card to my home country. Now they started to charge a 2.9% fee for cards from outside Europe(free version) ...In this case I would rather use my card directly...
A metal user here. My credit card issued by the bank at home does not work smoothly in the UK, and transferring money internationally to my UK debit account is expensive and complicated, that's why I use curve. Cashback barely means a thing tbh, insurance is fine to have, loungekey is good for travel.
Metal user here. Worth it for me i got so many cards from abroad that I use in poland smart rules is great. Plus the travel insurance

This card report to Transunion or Experian? (As a new account)?
Any tips on signing up? I get an error saying I’m not eligible. I have credit score about 800 so I can’t imagine any. US here
Unless you have wallets worth of cards, I just can't see the value as the cashback is so limited. Smartphone wallets have most of the functionality of the card and the other benefits can be gained from other FinTech apps. Losing Section 75 protection & no AmEx is also a dealbreaker for me. Thanks for covering though, loved both Starling and Wise since switching thanks to your videos.

Thanks for sharing Mikhael. I'm literally just using Curve as a means of using my CapitalOne card with Apple Pay, otherwise, I'm not fussed by it either. I just don't see the value in it. You're welcome and I'm glad you are loving Starling and Wise. ^Jonny
I'm currently using the free plan and I don't have no plans to upgrade to a paid plan I only use two cards anyway so I'm good and I don't need all of the extra features and I don't see myself using going back in time more than once every 2-3 months so I'm good I was very disappointed there when I found out that you can only add two cars because now I only use two cards but I might want to add more in the future so it's really sad another thing that was really good has turned out rubbish you can't make something cost money if it was originally free that's how it's going to be one day one day we're going to have to pay to breathe
I do only get the Curve sine my bank and Euro Card does not support Google pay. With Curve I now can pay using my cellphone. As I do understand I do not pay anything for this, only the one time fee for the free card.

Hey Lakro, I literally use Curve for the exact same reason! My CaptalOne CC doesn't work on Apple Pay so I use Curve to link it - very handy! ^Jonny

Hey man! I'm sure it is if you contact Curve and just say you filled in the application incorrectly and you'd like to register again. I think they'd be happy to oblige as long as it means you sign up 😂 Thanks! ^Jonny
Hello, how long does the cashback last in the free version?
@Monitodotcom
Жыл бұрын
Hey! With the free version, you get access to cashback rewards within the app at selected retailers. This doesn't expire but the retailers may change. ^Jonny

can i add money to my binance account with curve? or other crypto or internet banking?
@Monitodotcom

Curve isn't a bank account or provider that you deposit money into. It acts as a layer between your card and a transaction. Have you tried using Revolut? ^Jonny
what about free accouts do you get cashback on that one?
@Monitodotcom

No, these days you'll need their Black or Metal accounts to get cashback. ^Jonny
I live in South Africa and linked both of my crypto cards to curve. Since I am spending in my local currency ZAR, will I incur a extra fee charge on every purchase I make?

Hey! Where is the bank card that you've linked to your curve account located? ^Jonny

@@Monitodotcom Good question! I dont know haha. But surely not in South Africa. How it works is I pay with my card that I load up with crypto. This crypto then gets converted at time of purchase, to the currency the merchant wants using VISA or Mastercard. This card I get from crypto exchanges such as Binance or Cryptocom. So these are exchanges, and not necessarily banks. So if the exchange location matters in this instance instead, I am not entirely sure. Interesting take how that would work. It is very different to your conventional use. Have you ever done this yourself?
Is it free to order the cards
@Monitodotcom

It depends which plan you choose. If you go with the free tier you pay a card delivery fee of £4.99. While the 3 paid tiers all include free card delivery. ^Jonny
Now metal card costs 18 GBP.
I miss some important information here, GBIT is really handy to get more cashback from crypto, like from plutus card/ BNB card/cdc card/ Hi card

Exactly, that's missing in the review. That means that you are getting literally Curve Black tier fee of charge and earning at the same time 3% cash back (in crypto but that can be cashed out later) with every transaction (if Plutus card is selected in the app) plus additional 1% Cashback (hence 4% cashback at total for eligible retailer). Furthermore, another advantage that was not mentioned is that people who have Diners card can pay via Google pay (which otherwise would not be possible at all) which again means total of 2% Cashback. Plus you get travel insurance which would alone cost for me at least 60 EUR a year at minimum.
I want a card that can be funded by crypto or the monthly charges can be paid for by crypto.
@Monitodotcom

Hey Kingdom! Unfortunately, you can't pay for Curve in crypto. The closest you could get would be earning cashback and then converting it to BTC or a different cryptocurrency if you're on the higher tier. ^Jonny
