Curtain Wall Folding Door Family With Nested Generic Model Families In Revit
Welcome to SuperUser For Architects channel!
This video will share with you how to create parametric sliding panels within the Curtain Wall system family in Revit.
The folding door we will create in this tutorial is using Curtain Wall Door Family with nested Generic Families. We will model a combination of 3D parametric extrusions that are linked to other parametric 2D lines to make the family architecturally, and technically readable in the elevation and plan view at the same time.

I think that : Your voice is from the West Asia ! I am living in Viet Nam , I have learn Revit in 1 month . I find on youtube in Viet Nam but the result is zero ! Thank you the West Asia girl !
What a great channel with amazing content. PLEASE keep it going!
Great video! Amazing quality
Very good. Thank you!!!!
Super, keep uploading. Great for learning
wow . . complecated . .
Great tutorial. Thanks
Thanks again..
Firstly, this is a fantastic tutorial thanks a lot! its packs a bunch of useful tips. Now I wonder if it's just missing a step or I'm not following it right. In 4:16 Panel width, once I set the panel dimension width as an instance. Both panels just dont adjust to the reference places as it does in the video. Any ideas why? Again, congrats on the video.
Thank you so much
Excellent
Your video is very detailed and I appreciate it! It tells me exactly what to do. Thank You! Unfortunately, I am struggling with the door height and panel height. Revit keeps giving me an error: The operation has been canceled to protect your project from corruption. Do you know how to solve this or should I contact Revit?
Great video! Thanks! Could you possibly put a link to the family in the description?

Hi, thanks for the video. I have tried in my computer but I am getting error for "ungroup" while adding the panel width parameter

@@superuserforarchitects2132 The link is not working :( could you upload the family again please??
When I'm trying to add the formula for the panels, Revit gives me the error that "Constraints are not satisfied", even though I followed each of the steps presented in your video. Any idea on what I should do? I tried removing the constraints so the error would disappear, but my panels got messed up. I also tried recreating the folding door family various times and watched your video more carefully, but I get the same error...

try adding reference planes instead of the extrusion sketch and then dim parameter. I solved mine like that
Why I can not load it to the project ??
LINK WILL NOT WORK :(
Family could not be loaded into project. Resolve the issues in the family... WHYYYYYY, i'm doing each step perfectly, its the third try already
