Good progress on your collection. 🙌I keep all my Kringle Candles and B&BWs on a bookshelf of 5 shelves. My remaining Yankee Candles are on a linen closet shelf with random candle supplies. Most of my Yankees (paraffin) are on the way out. I’m close to my goal of 50 candles total; candle clutter was too much. Easier to breathe now.🧘‍♀️ looking forward to seeing the Kringle collection. 😉 R☘️

YES! It is easier to breathe the smaller the collection get's. I feel accomplished. I also remember every time I look at all this stuff that I don't need back ups of everything I love. There is always new stuff to love! I mean, its ok to have a few holy grails, but you cannot have 75 lol. That's where you start to go downhill and FAST!

We bought a new home recently with a finished basement. One of the basement rooms has built-ins that I’m using for my candles, pedestals, luminaries and warmers. I love going in there and seeing everything together, safely organized.

Fantastic job getting through the collection Melanie! I currently store mine in two matching cabinets in my family room. I aim to get my ENTIRE collection from all brands into just one. There are 4 total shelves, so one shelf dedicated to each season. The other cabinet would be great for off season Scentsy warmers, pedestals, and hurricanes. I hope I can accomplish this feat this year. Cant wait to see the rest of your collection.

Great job, I know this has been such a work in progress for you. I’ve been doing the same with my Sensi wax as well as not literally buying everything because I have one drawer for my wax and that’s it. I don’t want to get overwhelmed with it

It’s always good to see someone’s jar collection. If I particularly love a scent I always try to get one in reserve but I’m in the UK and it’s not so easy. I’m on my last Paris Cafe BBW 😞and I thought it would be quick to get another but it’s now a matter of waiting until they come back with sellers, probably the Autumn now so I’m eeking it out. You can never have too many of what you like! Looking forward to the next one. Pamela.

The garden is rough right now lol. The ice storm damaged a few things but I am looking forward to heading out there once we get a few sunny days. i have trimming to do for sure!

I’m with ya 100%!! My collection blew up over the last year and it is overwhelming me. I love having a stash but this is to much. I’m hoping to whittle mine down over this year as well. Resisting sales is my challenge along with getting backups of favorites. Stay strong! We can do this😊

I know it is so hard not to purchase. My candle collection is way out of control. But when a candle comes out that I like I’m so worried that I am gonna miss out on getting it. I’ve got to get over that mindset.

Melanie, I am so impressed with your resolutions to get the candle collection into a reasonable storage area! Especially since you are an ambassador for several companies and thus receive new candles for review! Congratulations on your self discipline. ❤

And great job using and finishing so many candles from your Homeworx collection! I watched your last collection video and you’ve made awesome progress, especially considering you’re sent candles from the company too.

The Homeworx collection is looking great!!! I use to store my candles everywhere in my previous place, since then Ive moved into a larger home. I now have a bedroom that I converted to an office and bought the Kallax unit from Ikea to use for storage and it perfect. I have 2 bins for crocks and Homeworxs large pedastals. The rest i place the egg cartons in the bins with the candles. I have homeworx, bbw and kringle. I havent bought new candles much and using what I have. I will continue to streamline my candle purchases as I did in 2023 and will do in 2024. Especially with inflation, price increase with everything. Great video.

Oh yes, the increased prices of all candles has been tough. And it did motivate me a bit to slow down for sure. My husband and I have always been good with money and putting it away for the future and I really want to begin putting even more aside for that. The older I get the more I realize that its going to take SOOOOOO much money for us to comfortably retire and I do not want to work past my 60th birthday. I want the last part of my life to be filled with fun and adventures! But I also still want to enjoy my hobbies now lol. Balancing act for sure!

I keep a spreadsheet/list with the total number of candles I have in front of my eyes so that I’m reminded of the amount I actually own…technically we could be called up to move at any time and moving candles gives me a bit of anxiety, so that’s my big motivation for whittling down my collection, besides space. My hobby room is over flowing with too much of everything, but most of my candles are stored in bbw candle day type bags/crates and some goose creek boxes with similar crates. I’m overflowing that a bit, and am trying really hard to own less than my storage. …and then to reduce the amount of crates I own. I’m trying hard to buy very few this year, but have already repurchased a couple favorites. 🤪

LOVE the spreadsheet! That is probably the best way to keep track. And yes, moving with a massive collection sucks.I remember that lol. While we are planning on being her till Stella is out of high school, I am def not wanting to move that many candles ever again when the time does come.

I am trying to do the same I took almost all last year not burning candles and just restarted and I have quite a bit that I would love to have on just one location instead of multiples. Just like you I want the space and I feel overwhelmed at times.

I am also trying to widdle down my candle collection this year! I have mostly BBW candles with a few Kringle, Yankee and Goosecreek. I do have 2 Iced Sugar Cookies from Homeworx that I bought during the holidays of 2022 and I still can barely smell it so idk what I’m going to do with those yet. Thanks for sharing 😊

Mine is pretty light right now but my Christmas Cupcakes did increase in strength. Bought those in 2022. I wish I would have burned a few this past holiday season. But its a nice generic gourmand that I think I can pass of this spring and summer as well.

What a nice collection Mel. You should see my Yankee one lol. It's in the shop in the backyard. I need to burn a lot of candles this year to get them down. I'm finishing Homeworx Christmas Morning, and it was a nice medium throw. Just started Yankee's New England Maple and quite strong. Smells like leather and woods. I bought Santorini and it smells divine from Ulta. Not burning a candle would give me anxiety, this is a fun hobby. Looks like I'll have to increase my Homeworx collection.

Melanie, I applaud you for paring down! (Where do they go, btw? are they gifted?) And, that said - what would (any brand) come out with that would make you scream - ITS CANDLE COLLECTION GROW TIME! ;>

I burned them up but did gift away a few, probably passed along 5 HomeWorx candles to my neighbors during the recent storm, but I try to burn and use them up myself. I am super tempted by a lot of the Kringle gourmand Reserve candles as of late. Jelly Donut, Sprinkled Macaron and Sweet Cream... if I could get my hands on those in bulk, I might be super tempted lol! But I am trying to refrain from ALL brands if possible when it comes to hoarding.

I am just at the beginning of your video but I'm curious to see cuz I remember last year Homeworx under the bed, in the basket in the closet coming to watch his video and see how you did 😂

I’m not using my candles fast enough… but I have been doing better at not buying every scent that is released. I think we all go through those phases as home fragrance lovers. I did good in 2023. I think I can cut back a tad more in 2024.

Great progress girlfriend!!!! I ended up giving away 75 candles- felt so good to free up some space!!! :)

Quick question have you tried the peanut butter and raspberry jam candle I don't believe I've seen you review it. I adore that candle and it has a good strength and throw and yes I bought backups for my backups I need to learn from everybody else who is purging😂 😂😂

That is fabulous! I am going to try my hardest to dwindle mine down also…. Such a sucker for clearance priced Homeworx candles at TJ/Marshalls/Homegoods….. I take one step forward by using something and then 3 backward because the price is unbeatable🤣

Oh I know... places like Home Goods gets you with the good prices but repeat after me "just because it's a good price, doesn't mean you NEED it!" That is what I have to tell myself. It's a depressing phrase but it helps! Force yourself to think about it first.

I am trying to downsize my Scentsy stash. I’m a consultant, so it’s very easy for me to keep ordering. I just have way too much and the 2 massive drawers I store them in are now full. I started staying home with my 3 year old in December after quitting my full time job (daycare is too expensive 🥴). So I’ve been getting through a lot more! But the amount of bars that I have is unhealthy. 🤣

Well I have some good news about the drawers.... there ALMOST are none now!!!!! Ugh, honestly I feel so proud lol! Just one for the last of my BBW stash. Man it feels good!

The longer the homeworx sit they definitely get much stronger I had ones that had no throw a year later they are blasting out scent so I let them sit

Ok, I officially know that I have a problem. I started buying Homeworx in the fall of 2021, and I have at least three times that many 🙈 My goal for 2024 is to not buy ANY new candles from any brand. Not allowing myself to set foot in TJ Maxx, Marshalls or HomeGoods has made that easier to accomplish! 🤪 It's time to burn what I have.
