Sir, 2nd Feb IE issue which covered the budget extensively had one of these sections where it said that the "interest rates would increase on account of increased borrowings of Govt." Which interest rates are they talking about and if the money supply would increase how wud the rates surge, they should rather go down right?

Increased government borrowing crowds out private investment. Investment has an inverse relationship with interest rates. So interest rates will rise. Logically speaking, if government increases its borrowing, there's less for others to borrow, so high demand, low supply -> price will be raised. Regarding money supply, if money supply is increased, ceteris paribus, interest rates should fall, but the central bank never lets it be ceteris paribus.

saurabh shinde I think Tanmay is right....”how rate & inflation is working for u” “If Govt borrowing is from RBI on xhng of security/bond, so it will increase money supply “ Mo “ in the market... Increased money supply may decrease “purchasing power” which will lead to inflation, which can be controlled by increasing interest rate ie more money in saving account & less money in public hand.. Correct me if I misunderstood 🙏🏻

@@amishasahini4413 but they say it's the counter-cyclical fiscal policy that's into play this tym...in that increased govt capex wud trickle down in an increased Pvt capex from increased demand for goods(road infrastructure projects demanding cement/steel etc.) thus infact crowding-in and not out... what say?

Hello sir , 2022 will be my first attempt. And i have completed my optional and most of the syllabus of prelims except economy. I have read - old ncert of ancient, medieval - spectrum - 11th art and culture and 50% nitin singhania - shankar ias environment - 11th ncerts of geography - m laxmikant So now only 4 months are remaining and for economy i have just read ncerts of 9th,10th,11th,12th that too one year ago. So how should i cover economy fast. How to revise for remaining time? Please sir answer. I need guidance now. Till now i have prepared without coaching. I have to write mains this year. How should i cover economy before prelims and revise other subjects .
