We be tryna keep things simple with just curls but even then it takes awhile🤧 still people always ask "why don't you straighten your hair it was so pretty" like I don't always have three hours to spare

Oooooo the temptation!!! 😂😫 Your results are perfect! This is exactly what I used to do in my 20s but I did it every wash day. 🤦🏿‍♀️ As I transitioned, I did it way less and my newgrowth thrived. If anybody is scared to do this a couple times a year, don't be!! We gotta enjoy our versatility and this is the move. Great video. 👏🏿💜

I don't have the time of the energy to do it I just rather pay of course I have real fine hair but I really just pay a beautician to do that I mean anybody will I take that back anybody can't wash and condition their hair the correct way but I can and I'll just go to a beautician and let them do that they're getting my hair is is fine but I don't think you can get a straight press like that without putting some type of heat to it and everybody you know there's a controversy about the perms and how it affects your health so a lot of the ladies are going to transition to a silk wrap even if you decide not to put on a flat iron or curling iron to it I mean you don't have to put some kind of straightener products on it and at least get under a hoodie dryer there's just no way for your hair to be that Curly and you go straight with no heat I don't think so I think that's just the aftermath after using some type of heat to it maybe a minimum amount of heat I can believe that but this that's just too much work or extra 30 or $40 is not going to make a break me you know doing a heat wrap or with a flat iron or a straightening comb it's healthy I guess than doing a perm but I think she put some type of heat to her hair that's just the aftermath and they are getting it may be a minimum amount of heat

This just saved my life! I needed to get a silk press and everyone kept last minute canceling on me.. Time to do this myself, wish me luck lol you look amazing 😍

The key is that scarf. You have to wrap it for a short while after. It makes all the difference. Beautiful

I hope this video was helpful!! I was trying not to make it to long but I wanted to include what I used to detangle and deep condition because it’s very important to get good results. I got the flat iron like 5 years ago in Target. I couldn't find a link to it so i don't think they sell it anymore (flat iron model # in description) I tried to straighten my hair about 6 months ago and the results were horrendous 😂 so I wanted to be detailed to help y’all out lol. Your natural hair is just as beautiful as your straightened hair. Gorgeous styles. I have Type 4c hair and it doesn’t look that good in its natural state. When I straighten it, the hair is either stiff and dry or soft but limp.

I couldn’t tell you how fast my mouth droppes when you said you had no product in your hair. I didn’t trust my ears or my eyes I had to play it back 😂😂😂 chiiiiiiildddd when I say hair GOALS

HEALTHY hair, not looser curled hair. I have 3c hair myself but I wanted to show love to a woman with 4c hair because I know a lot of people are insecure about their hair texture. And my hair isn't horrible at all, I have not heat damage and it isn't dry. I was simply showing love.

I just saw this video and love the outcome! I will def get that Tresemme heat spray. I also used to blow dry my hair the way you're doing it, but my arms would get so tired so I got the blow dry that has the comb with it. Makes it so much easier. Keep it up girl!

Your hair came out beautiful. My hair would stay straight for exactly 5min after. My hair will find humidity where there is none.

As soon as the video started I thought...WOW! Her hair is gorgeous! Then it went to when your hair was straight and that was gorgeous too! You have the best of both worlds as well as being very pretty.

Thank you so much for this tutorial, I've tried to straighten my daughter's hair a couple times in the past but I made dumb mistakes like putting cream in it afterwards (I know, I know.......I know) lol. My daughter is mixed and has insanely curly hair and I couldn't anyone on KZread who had hair similar to hers...except for you. Hair was on point hon.Your is soo healthy and heat damaged free. I tried to give myself a silk press and I failed epically. I know what I did wrong though. I didn't blow dry my hair out as thoroughly as a possible. I didn't section my hair and I put too many products in it. I'm learning as I go though. I do know what products and methods work for my kinky hair. Straightening my hair is a while new territory for me. I do notice that I have to put my hair up on a high temperature setting to get to straighten. Thanks for the tips and keep up the good work. I'm hoping my hair turns out something similar to yours. Wish me luck!!!!

i hate making multiple comments but you made a REALLY good point...i have found to have more issues with heat damage from OIL + HEAT rather than HEAT itself. Using a light weight heat protectant and then making sure I use protein soon after heat styling has been better for my hair than applying a bunch of stuff to my hair when straightening...it took me a while to realize that.

Idk why I love this video, I cant tell you how many times I watch it. Your results are the best for doing it yourself.
