Amazing iconic horse breed and thanks. I knew the curlies are the same as the mustangs since they're both native here to North America (Canada and the United States)!

@@deshaunbethea9117 I try to keep the videos as short as possible because most people don't like to watch videos that are too long. Due to Covid at the moment, I can't travel (I'm in Canada). But as soon as I'm able to travel again I'll get back into making more documentaries on different breeds of horses. I will certainly put the Nokota horses on the list of horses to film. ;)

It sounds like they have a mind similar to mules. Intelligent with good instincts for self preservation - thinkers who need a little time to process what's being asked during their training. I'm guessing they do best with a bonding process, then light pressure allowing for more time and gentle repetition to develop? (Very similar to bringing along a happy mule colt.) I like their stout frame and mustang type feet; seems they would be very hardy and stay sound into their senior years.

I don't know anything about mules but yes they do best with bonding and light pressure and yes they are usually sound into their senior years!

Hello! Do you have any information on curly mustang adoptions in the future? I grew up with horses, my family fostered for a standard bred off-track rescue association and had my own half Arab, but always struggled because I could never ride for more than about a half hour because of severe horse allergy. Now as an adult I would love to get some horses back in my life that don't make me sneeze so much!

Hello, my husband is allergic to horses too so I have 3 curly horses myself. I have a curly mustang, a curly canadian/arabian and a curly warmblood. I got mine all from breeders as young untrained horses. There are curly horse groups on facebook that can put you in contact with curly breeders or rescue organizations. My recommendation would be to join some curly horse groups on facebook and ask about available curlies for adoption. They will be able to put you in contact with the proper organizations in your area. Let me know if you have any other questions!

@@sherrybedard4471 Good tips, thanks so much for the response! I would love to fo find somebody in PA of NY with some I could go visit/groom/play with a little to see if the trigger my allergy or not. I will look into the f-book groups!
