Curious squirrel in Richmond Park.
Richmond Park was created by Charles I in the 17th century as a deer park. It is the largest of London's Royal Parks with a specific focus for wildlife conservation. The park is also a national nature reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest. Richmond Park is home to ancient trees and supports a wide range of rare species including fungi, birds, beetles, bats, grasses and wildflowers.
