As a Sloan class 2005, although my job post Sloan has mainly been M&A, I have to say such soft skills might be the most critical Success Factor for all my deals/projects, particularly for those divestments where a lot of people might lose their job. On one occasion in 2016, I had to terminate the employment of 500 mill workers, and all of them signed the consent papers within 24 hours. There was no magic in my job for this, but it is due to how much time you spend with people from all walks and at all levels, from Board members to blue-collars, so in the end you got their trust and support, then you could get all stakeholders aligned, and the deal could be closed as planned/wished.

Government departments use whatsapp to communicate official circulars in India.. I have seen this in Education and Health dept of the state of Madhya Pradesh. I think this needs to be corrected and a more professionally sound method should be introduced so that the government employees are also liable and accountable.
