These were some of the City of Santa Monica's oldest side loader units until all but one were replaced at the end of 2017. These trucks had the iconic "Santa Monica whining" noise that most of us west-siders had come to remember. 16064, the truck featured in this video, can be seen dumping 300 and 90 gallon apartment trash carts on one of their tri-weekly routes north of Wilshire just after New Years. The reason why he skipped some cans is because they have the yellow once-per-week stickers, not the orange bi weekly ones. This truck now likely is run by Valley Vista Services.
