Just wanted to say I really appreciate the time you put into coming up with solutions to share. It's always helpful.
Your channel is perfect. No flash or BS, just a guy helping spread knowledge about what is, in truth, a complicated system. Thank you.
I only started with my Ender 3 Pro 2 weeks ago and if it weren’t for your videos, I’d still be printing spaghetti. Thanks for all of your help and for the no-nonsense videos. It reminds me of watching Bob Villa when I was a kid with “This Old House”

Thank you Chuck, I'm joining the last few commentators who appreciate your straightforward way of explaining things. I'm in my seventies recovering from a stroke, your method connects with me in a way that others don't. Your advice has me working and continuing to do the hobbies I need to live. Thank you. Thank you for the support.
I'm new to 3D printing, and I was staying away from TPU / TPE as it looked like too steep a learning curve for now. Finally dived in today, and I just printed my first part, which CAME OUT ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!! Thank you! 😊
I've been printing calibration parts for dialing in TPU for the past few days. This video came in at the perfect time!
Thanks CHEP! I've been looking forward to getting a cura 5 tpu profile from you since your pla profiles were such a game changer!

Thank you so much for all your time, support, and effort. You make this art work.
Just wanted to say thank you for all your profiles you create. Somewhat new to printing and using your profiles not only helped me print faster/better, but streamlined the learning process. Comparing all your changes and learning where and why you did things has been super helpful in learning. You’re a HUGE part of this community!
Just what I need I am needing to do a couple prints in TPU thank you so much Chuck.
And, thanks Chuck. Your information, explanations, and files are great. I have learned a lot. Grateful.
Thanks for explaining the specific settings and why you used them.
Been doing a lot of printing with you Fast profile 5.0 with great results! Thanks!
Used the profile, "as is", on my Ender 3 with direct drive and all metal heatbreak, to print a hex bit holder in TPU. It worked flawlessly. It did not had any clogs, even if there was a ton of retractions, only a little stringing. Great profile. Thanks alot Chep!
Thank you sooooo much man, i printed 16 pieces of stringing tests and couldn't get the right settings until I found your channel. Thank you so much!
Thank you for saving so much time and making this easier to understand
Thank you very much , did my first TPU prints today , using your profile on my Ender 2 pro . As the TPU I used was quite stiff it printed perfectly first time at 210 deg C , bed temp 50 deg C on standard machine with retraction dialed back to 5mm . Filament used was SunLu TPU Silk Black ( perfect finish )
Thanks so much for your hard work Chuck. I downloaded your profile/project and loaded it into Cura 5.1, I then exported the profile out of the project as well as the object. I then erased everything and loaded my Artillery Sidewinder X2 in and imported your TPU profile along with your model. I changed the retraction to 6mm because the X2 is direct drive and then sliced and loaded into Octoprint and its printing like a charm. 👌👍
Thanks. Your advice about the retraction helped a lot.
Used this profile on my Creality CR-10 Smart Pro with minor changes and got really good first print. Thanks
Thanks for the video, profile and the extruder base. It resolved the TPU issue I had with my Ender 5.
It's funny that you mention retraction as I have always had fairly high retraction settings ever since e your video on the creality lucky cat profile that you did years ago, with excellent results, even with an all metal hot end (about 7mm) mostly on pla. Thank you Chuck for all your hard work for finding these settings and sharing them with the whole 3d printing community!
A true legend. Thanks, mate!
You alway do SO much work! Thank you!
You are a genius and life saver, Chuck! I'm new to 3D printing and bought the Ender-2 Pro as a starter - I am loving it! You gave me hope on printing TPU - I successfully printed your test piece for Cura 5.0 TPU profile on my first attempt using the stock extruder and Sunlu 95A TPU filament. Thank you sir!

Great upload as usual. You have always been on my goto list when I have a printing problem especially with profiles. I have had quite a few issues with Cura 5 especially with my CR10 Smart Pro as there is no stock profile for it in Cura 5 so had to do my own. Still a work in progress. Thanks for all your hard work.
Awesome! May try this tomorrow. Not done TPU in years
This TPU profile is going to serve as a base for a profile im trying to make for tpu. Thank u very much as always!

what are the Retraction settings on your profile? I have a Microswiss DD on my ender 3 Pro and still tweaking it.
Downloaded and used your profile for my ender 3. A few tweaks (nozzle and bed temp, and retraction number) and boom, worked great for printing the cable clip. Came out perfect with practically zero stringing. Thanks for the profile and great video as always.

Hi chep. I don’t comment much. But thank you for all your help. I’ve have finally got my 3D printer working SO good now I’m in love with it. I found that I had problems with that line down the edge. It turned out the be my extruder only giving me 65.5mms rather than 100mms the difference in my prints now 😮. OMG 🥰 they are perfect. My old CR-10 👌🏼

I wrote a while ago saying that I had purchased a Prusa and the worst part of that was not having the support of your videos anymore as you work with Creality. Well, I'm back to Creality due to many reasons, but your videos are one of the most important ones. Thank you sir!

It can be fun as long as you use Cheps extruder design.
I still use the replacement extruder that Chep designed years ago. Never any trouble with PETG, PLA or TPU.
I really do appreciate Chep's work on these free profiles, he does not have to make them. Yet he has for ages. I was a died-in-the-wool simplyfy3d fan but that was not getting updated so with all the talk about Cura I jumped in knowing that Cheps profile would get me moving and groovin. Sadly I could not use Cura because I found it too much work, with all the drop downs and settings here there and everywhere not to mention Ultimaker wanted my user data so that was that. I tried and died:) Now what! If I didn't love 3d printing !!!!!

@juliansantiago5798 the only thing I did was add the profile, load my filament and print. I changed nothing as far as settings go. Also you'd print TPU at a much higher temp than 205. Just leave the settings as is.

wow this is great on ender 2 pro, Thank You!!!
Your profiles are great, thank you for the work! I have tried the 5.0 and 5.1 TPU profiles and both are fast and look great. The only problem I had was the inner and outer walls seem to separate. I tried lots of different wall settings but nothing helped, the setting that solved the problem was to slow the inner wall print speed down to match the outer wall print speed. Don't know if anyone else had this problem, but hope this helps.
thanks CHEP I used this and mad it for a 0.8mm and about to run a test print
I printed TPU a few weeks ago & found that all I needed to do to stop the filament escaping was to reduce the pressure on the filament from the extruder pinch wheels. I looked at the filament & saw that it was well chewed & squashed, reduced the pressure to as light as I could, bingo. It worked with Creality TPU which is quite a stiff one & also eSun TPU which is a very soft flexible one.
Thank you! It works!!!!😃😃😃
Hello Chep, I love whenever you have a new video. I switched my heatbreak recently, following your directions and now my Ender 3 works fantastic!. Could you please explore PLA, TPU and other filament profiles using a 0.2 nozzle? I love the detail a 0.2 puts out. Thank you sir!
I'm-a-gonna try this profile with some "flexible PLA" I just picked up. Feeding this stuff through a Bowden tube is going to be interesting.
I've been trying to print "BV3D Desktop Trashcan" on my Anycubic Kobra and had stringing so bad it may as well been infill... imported your profile, changed the bed size, and didn't see a single string. Thanks so much mate.
Yea, Cura 5.4 made me switch to Pruraslicer. No issues since then even though I hate the GUI.
Lost in Tech has a video on tpu and he had good results using retraction
This is where I regret having an all metal hotend, fiddling with retraction on that thing puts me on edge.
Thanks - I was actually printing a phone case in tpu when I found this. From what I'd previously found, folk turned down the part cooling fan - But I found bridging failed. I managed to install your profile -(I got confused in the instructions, Cura is not a good gui, imnsho). I reduced retraction, and increased nozzle temp. Your test printed fine, but a slight bit of stringing (I don't want to retract too far). I have an ender 3 with microswiss all metal direct drive hot end, and have re sliced the case, and print just starting. I'm not sure how supports will be handled, I'll know in a few hours time.
Chuck, fantastic as usual! Any tips or tricks for supports with TPU?

I typically don’t use them with TPU
This would be great if I used Ender printers for my TPU prints... I use direct drive printers, so the profiles need modification for them to work on my printers. However, you've touched on a couple of issues you faced that I have also been dealing with that gave me some ideas of how to fix. Thanks CHEP
Hi I love your videos and really appreciate the fact that you give your time and ideas for free :) I tried this profile as am having problems with the tpu I brought and unfortunately am still getting the separation on the skin layer :( can you help please?

Any recommendations on max retract distance when the hot end is replaced with a bimetal?
I finally got TPU working again in 5.0, but I had to ditch retraction and go down to 10mm/s. Using a microswiss direct drive on a CR10S5
I like your profile I found 10mm retraction worked good .. Something I think you would like to try.... use a 0.5 nozzle with your 0.45 line with .... prints look just as good as PLA . let me know if people try and what you think . thanks
I’m printing tpu on my Ender 3. I didn’t know I needed to change settings in Cura maker. I’ve been printing tpu with pla settings
Jus started printing colorfab´s varioshore tpu at 220 C an 20 mm/s, I don´t have an issue with escaping filament yet but it bunches up behind the extruder gear and in front of the PTFE tube. Can this mod help my Ender 3 v2 or is it another issue. Tried with 6.5mm Retraction (25 mm/s) and with retraction off, but can only print about an hour before I can´t extrude.
some manufacturer needs to pick this up and machine their extruder plate to extend the metal toward the gearing in a wedge shape like that. It would make them the only one to buy as an upgrade.
Does this work with Cura 5.2? I am going to try printing TPU for the first time but have Cura 5.2 right now. (I have an Ender 3 with bowden tube and a micro swiss hot end)

First, thanks for all the help to the community. Am trying my luck with TPU-90 the last 2 days, and i have issues with making a phone case. Walls draw out of the line and there is a speed in your profiles that accelerate with no reason..Why u use acceleration and jerk? 5.1 tpu profile was bad and a little better with 5.0 tpu. I will try to remove acceleration and jerk cos the nozzle move like hell for 1-2 times and then goes slowly. Also i see 100% fan speeds. Is that ok for TPU?
