Filament used was SunLu TPU Silk Black ( perfect finish )

    Thanks so much for your hard work Chuck. I downloaded your profile/project and loaded it into Cura 5.1, I then exported the profile out of the project as well as the object. I then erased everything and loaded my Artillery Sidewinder X2 in and imported your TPU profile along with your model. I changed the retraction to 6mm because the X2 is direct drive and then sliced and loaded into Octoprint and its printing like a charm. 👌👍

    I really do appreciate Chep's work on these free profiles, he does not have to make them. Yet he has for ages. I was a died-in-the-wool simplyfy3d fan but that was not getting updated so with all the talk about Cura I jumped in knowing that Cheps profile would get me moving and groovin. Sadly I could not use Cura because I found it too much work, with all the drop downs and settings here there and everywhere not to mention Ultimaker wanted my user data so that was that. I tried and died:) Now what! If I didn't love 3d printing !!!!!

    Your profiles are great, thank you for the work! I have tried the 5.0 and 5.1 TPU profiles and both are fast and look great. The only problem I had was the inner and outer walls seem to separate. I tried lots of different wall settings but nothing helped, the setting that solved the problem was to slow the inner wall print speed down to match the outer wall print speed. Don't know if anyone else had this problem, but hope this helps.

    I printed TPU a few weeks ago & found that all I needed to do to stop the filament escaping was to reduce the pressure on the filament from the extruder pinch wheels. I looked at the filament & saw that it was well chewed & squashed, reduced the pressure to as light as I could, bingo. It worked with Creality TPU which is quite a stiff one & also eSun TPU which is a very soft flexible one.

I managed to install your profile -(I got confused in the instructions, Cura is not a good gui, imnsho). I reduced retraction, and increased nozzle temp. Your test printed fine, but a slight bit of stringing (I don't want to retract too far). Hi Chuck! Received my Filament Friday tool kit today! Just what I needed for the new hobby! I have a collection of CHEP cubes on my mantle as I print one each time I get new filament so I can see the color and texture. 5 so far. Question. Is there a local seller who sells the magnetic print bed for the Ender 2 Pro? I can't seem to find one... Thanks again for the great vids and getting new started in the 3d printing world.

    Any advice on support for print? I was trying to make my own swatch watch guard but support wont build and the lower legs break off. It seems you can only print things that don't use support.

    Maybe print the support separately in PLA and add a print pause where the support is needed with TPU and slide the PLA piece in

    Video request, Pneumatic couplers vs Compression Fittings, of the brass variety. It seems no matter what pneumatic fittings i use, the teeth eventually 'saw' into the Bowden tube and cause headaches (or in one case during a jam, the teeth in the extruder coupler downright broke) I'm tired of being nickel and dimed buying new fittings and tubes

    First, thanks for all the help to the community. Am trying my luck with TPU-90 the last 2 days, and i have issues with making a phone case. Walls draw out of the line and there is a speed in your profiles that accelerate with no reason..Why u use acceleration and jerk? 5.1 tpu profile was bad and a little better with 5.0 tpu. I will try to remove acceleration and jerk cos the nozzle move like hell for 1-2 times and then goes slowly. Also i see 100% fan speeds. Is that ok for TPU?

    Hi Chep. Is it possible to get a 0.12 profile for the TPU? Is it even advisable to print in a higher resolution with TPU? Thanks again for the hard work you put in to make our lives that much simpler...

    Chuck, wouldn't replacing the Boden tube with Capricorn greatly reduce flex in extrusion and retraction of the filament?

  • @FilamentFriday

    @FilamentFriday

    Possibly but could also cause more clogs. TPU tends to be less consistent in size.

    When it comes to all the Extra speed and Hyper speed profile. Does it need a heavy duty/vulcan hotend? I tried them on my Ender 3 Pro with stock hotend using PLA with both 215 and 250 (I know this is too hot for pla but) hotend temperature and its not keeping up. at low temperature the extruder clicks, at high temperature the extrusion is too thin

    I would suggest adjusting your e-steps. It doesn’t require any special hotend.

    One of the first upgrades I made to the Ender-2 Pro was remove the Stock Extruder and replace it with the SeeMeCNC- but I might print the Extruder base you share a link to. I just need to print a MicroSD to Standard SD Card holder and my Ender-2 Pro will be done. I wish Creality made a Glass Bed Sheet for the Ender-2 Pro!

Not sure if material is getting impregnated in the metal or what, I just know I have had more consistent performance when I do this.
