I'm Indonesian, but I don't understand other ethnic languages, only 4 languages I know here, like Javanese, Banjarnese, Kutainese, Malay language, and dayaknese... cause u know if Indonesia has so much languages. I think I can speak in 7 languages include Bahasa Indonesia and English.

"Cuplikan Kemeriahan" litterally meaning is "Excitement footage", here actually meaning is "highlight". The original duration of the opening ceremony is 2 hours 27 minutes, but I'm sure you won't get bored. Cause it's very fun & really entertaining. All appearances here are 100% Indonesian people with various ethnicities and cultures. Asian Games, also known as Asiad, is a continental multi-sport event held every four years among athletes from all over Asia. They have been organized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). The Games are recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and are described as the second largest multi-sport event after the Olympic Games. Because this event is under the Olympic Council, there must be a torch. All 45 members of the Olympic Council of Asia are participating in the games. 🇦🇫 Afghanistan 🇧🇭 Bahrain 🇧🇩 Bangladesh 🇧🇹 Bhutan 🇧🇳 Brunei Darussalam 🇰🇭 Cambodia 🇨🇳 China 🇭🇰 Hong Kong 🇮🇳 India 🇮🇩 Indonesia 🇮🇷 Iran 🇮🇶 Iraq 🇯🇵 Japan 🇯🇴 Jordan 🇰🇿 Kazakhstan 🇰🇵🇰🇷 Korea (united as 1 korea) 🇰🇵 North Korea 🇰🇷 South Korea 🇰🇼 Kuwait 🇰🇬 Kyrgyzstan 🇱🇦 Laos 🇱🇧 Lebanon 🇲🇴 Macau 🇲🇾 Malaysia 🇲🇻 Maldives 🇲🇳 Mongolia 🇲🇲 Myanmar 🇳🇵 Nepal 🇴🇲 Oman 🇵🇰 Pakistan 🇵🇭 Philippines 🇶🇦 Qatar 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia 🇸🇬 Singapore 🇱🇰 Sri Lanka 🇸🇾 Syria 🇹🇼 Chinese Taipei 🇹🇯 Tajikistan 🇹🇭 Thailand 🇹🇱 Timor Leste 🇹🇲 Turkmenistan 🇦🇪 Uni Arab Emirates 🇺🇿 Uzbekistan 🇻🇳 Vietnam 🇾🇪 Yemen The 2018 Asian Games, officially known as the 18th Asian Games and also known as Jakarta-Palembang 2018, being held from 18 August to 2 September 2018 in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang. The opening ceremony was opened with a ratoeh jaroe dance to greet the invited guests in attendance, involving 1600 girls students from 18 Jakarta Junior & High Schools. 75 of them are dance dancers, the rest are not professional dancers but trained for 4 months. For dancer costumes have five different color layers in their costume that can be removed and reassembled, so that why can change color. but again have to rely on hand speed because in just seconds. Ratoh Jaroe dance comes from Aceh. Aceh is a province located on the island of Sumatra, and is a province at the western end of Indonesia. That is why this dance became an opening, and there are still 20 traditional dances from several Indonesian ethnicities displayed with regional song at this event. Ratoeh Jaroe's dance is a modification dance that combines several types of Acehnese dances such as Saman dance, Ratoeh Doek dance, Loloek Puloe dance, Ratep Meuseukat dance and Ratu Bantai dance. Many people say this is saman dance, whereas ratoe jaroh dance is a different dance even though some of its movements take from saman dance. Pure Saman dance is only accompanied by claps of hands, chest, and poetry sung by the dancers. If there is an accompaniment of rapa'i music as accompaniment, that means Ratoeh Jaroe. Rapa'i itself is a genuine Acehnese percussive instrument made from basic materials such as wood and animal skin. In Aceh, Saman is identical with men, and Ratoeh Jaroe is female. Worried that a woman who danced seemed rude. So, until now Saman can only be danced by men. It's different with Ratoeh Jaroe, in contrast to Saman, this creative dance is precisely dying with women. Saman dance is sung with Gayo language lyrics, while Ratoeh Jaroe lyrics is Aceh language. Saman is dressed as a traditional Gayo outfit, which is a filigree patterned pockets (basic black clothes with yellow, red and green motifs) with headdresses using bulang teleng with kepies or pandan leaves. While Ratoeh Jaroe uses plain red, yellow, green and other clothes combined with Aceh songket with the use of plain colored headbands. Another difference between Saman and Ratoeh Jaroe is the number of dancers. Saman dance is performed by male dancers with odd numbers, while Ratoh Jaroe dance is performed by female dancers with an even number. That is why this dance is exhibited by 1,600 dancers from 18 high schools throughout DKI Jakarta. The Ratoeh Jaroe dance that was held formed several batik motifs, plaid motifs of color gradations, up to indonesian flag "Red-White". Batik motifs that are seen include lines like classic Jogja batik and Aceh batik which are identical with bright colors. This can be seen from the use of brightly colored costumes such as orange, purple, gold and red. When the performance of thousands of dancers formed a box formation, the Aceh regional song "Bungong Jeumpa" was sung to accompany the dance. This dance reflects education, religion, courtesy, heroism, cohesiveness, and togetherness. "Bungong Juempa" (Michelia champaka) is endemic flora in Aceh. The lyrics of song are inspired by the beauty of this flower. The dynamic movements of the dancers show the energy that belongs to the Asian Games, in line with the big theme of this event namely Energy of Asia. This greeting ended by showing the "red-white" Indonesian flag formed from the color of the dancer's clothes highlighted from above. In full video all dancers immediately turned blue and split into two parts, the middle of which will be passed between the athletes' contingent parade from 44 Asian countries. This opening ceremony has 5 segments. 1. Water theatrical from the Majapahit kingdom in 1293 to 1500, "Gajah Mada" which unites islands with water. Btw, this stage for the Opening Ceremony Asian Games 2018, broke the record as the biggest and highest stage ever at the opening ceremony of a similar event. This stage has a total weight of 600 tons and measures 135 meters in length, 30 meters in width and 26 meters in height. This stage consists of 175 parts that were made manually by 350 original Indonesian craftsmen from Bandung and Jakarta, while the process took three months. The concept of this stage is to showcase Indonesia's natural beauty and cultural diversity, to strengthen our own sense of pride and love for this nation and country. So from that a beautiful mountain replica is displayed as the surrounding stage planted with 12,775 plants and flowers with an area of more than 1,350 square meters. Not only that, beside him there is also a waterfall that flows with 140,000 liters of water and also stretches 3,000 square meters of green grass to beautify its beauty. Under both of them there are also hidden tunnels along approximately 50 meters so that the performers can move around the stage area without reducing aesthetics. Btw why choose mountain for stage, cause Indonesia have 139 volcanos. if you are interested in watching full, you can check from the official broadcaster here m.vidio.com/watch/1448030-opening-ceremony-asian-games-2018 Or here kzread.info/dash/bejne/f5xr2c-ifK-_lJc.html don't forget to support Indonesia for the 2032 Olympic host bid. Thanks for reaction. Love, respect from Indonesia 💕❤💕🇮🇩

Indonesia has 33 provinces and each province has its own language and culture. But in fact there are more than 33 languages in Indonesia. Can you imagine how diverse Indonesia is? The first dance with tons of dancers was from Aceh and they sang in Acehnese not in Bahasa Indonesia and so were the next dancers singing in their own languages.

As Indonesian, I really proud of the diversity of Indonesia. But when I learn or read the history of Indonesia, many of Indonesian script was derived from Sanskrit. Indonesia has influenced by many cultures like India, Arabic, Portugal, Netherland, and so on. So sometimes, I ask myself where is the authenticity of Indonesia besides the traditional language, costume, and music instrument every ethnic has. It is not like India which has Aryan and Dravidian. For Indonesian, please look at Java, Sunda, Sasak, Buginese (Lontara), Lampung (Had Lappung) scripts, etc those have the same patterns but different arrangements derived from Pallava. Please no offense, I just want to say, we can proud of our culture but we also have to look back to our history. I mean, we should thank other culture which shapes our culture.

Fact bout Indonesia . Indonesia has 34 provinces and every provinces has their local language Wikipedia say indonesia has 600 more local languages and used in their province. but not all of Indonesian understood all the 600 local languages, so if a person from different province wants to travel to other province, we used our unity language (bahasa indonesia). I'm indonesia and i live in bandung, west java province and i do speak sundanese and also i do speak Bahasa indonesia our unity language... And indonesia has 34 traditional costume in every province, so when you saw the indonesian costumes on the video it look colorful, well it mix from other province costumes.. And the last fact in every province it has their local dance, so when you look at the begin video which somuch dancer it's from aceh and the last one which is the danced who play with fire it's from bali... And amazed fact indonesia has 17.000 islands 😱😱😱
