Ohh, I really miss Crumbs & Doilies! When I lived in London, I used to pass by and get cupcakes & flat white every now and then. You should, guys, open Crumbs & Doilies in the U.S.!!!
A fondant smoother is brilliant at firming down a crumb base 👍😊

We've recently had Halloween here in the USA. If you are able to get your hands on Malteasers... you will NOT regret making these for sure!! Also isn't this great for a holiday treat that you can make while your turkey or roast of choice is in the oven? It's great make ahead easy bake before the manic holiday cooking begins!

What is golden syrup?

It’s an invert sugar syrup which is a by product of sugar refinement and in the UK it’s really common. It’s thick and sticky like treacle but lighter, sweeter and more toffee like in flavour. You could use liquid glucose, corn syrup, treacle or honey if you can’t find it where you are x

not as good as having the amazing cupcakejemma reply... :-) - but there are many ways to make caramel for millionaires shortbread - so if you cant get golden syrup you can always add some light brown sugar instead - should end up more or less the same.
