This is a great video thanks, I am at work 0300 at a railroad company on a moveable bridge and the power went out due to a storm I just used this video to start the generator at our bridge. The generator was showing that “shutdown “ fault thanks again very helpful.

I have a new 24kw 3phase silent Cummins , can you tell me where to put the two hoses on the fuel tank because there are three connection on the tank also do I have to change or do anything other than add diesel and coolant before the first start

Yes, once the transfer switch goes back to utility power the genset will enter a cool down period. Typically less than 20 minutes.

The generator exercise function is initiated from the automatic transfer switch. This needs to be programmed at the ATS.

Is this machine capable of running at 50Hz?

How to Reset service hour

I have a 750KW Cummins Engine Emergency Generator. I'm getting low oil pressure, 40 psi the oil pump has been replaced. oil coolers been replaced, any suggestions?Chris Carter

Idk about diesel but in automotive the oil pump does not create pressure it only creates flow. Your pressure comes from tolerance specific areas like bearing surfaces and oil gallery's. Its basically any area where oil need's to squeeze thru where pressure is built so if your bearing tolerances are off due to improper maintenance then you will not be able to build pressure.

Most of the main compressor stations, feeding the large interstate pipelines, are typically fueled by natural gas and generate their power with it, to keep operations running. Gas-fueled compressors could be more widely used throughout the system, but they are noisy and have environmental implications.

+abdurraheem khan HZ (frequency) is controlled by the engine Rpms depending on how many magnetic poles are in the alternator.

+abdurraheem khan 4 pole alternator runs at 1,500 RPM for 50 Hz and 1,800 RPM for 60 Hz.
