I ended up reading the manifesto a while back and Nick is full of shit. It is so badly written. Theres a lot of inherent entertainment value in Elliott describing his childhood though and how it shaped him, but its worthwhile to read because of the context, not because its actually a well written piece.

It's weird that they hate on Workaholics a few times in the earlier days. That show was pretty good/culturally relevant in the early 2010s. It's like they're jealous of a different troupe getting their own TV show opportunity, even though they almost certainly couldn't make a better one lol

I never watched an actual episode of workaholics but it always seemed like upper middle class dumb mainstream frat humor and it ran on CC when CC was floundering and flailing and it kind of represented that era of the fall of Comedy Central as good TV.
