Saw Culture play Dingwalls mid 80's .. can remember me and my brother waiting outside debating what to do as we were something like £2 short of the entrance fee... then out of nowhere my brother went over to this parked car and proceeded to explain our situation.. a voice rings out through the smoke and big hats.. 'no problem brother.. enjoy di gig' as they all had whip and gave us something like £5 which saw us in and enough for a couple of pints 'each'.. we were near the front as the band came skankin on to the stage we recognised it was the same guys who'd just had a whip round for us.. Joseph Hill and Culture.. a couple of days later we saw them again at some London uni place.. this time all three came marching on stage and proceeded to give me and my bro a massive thumbs up!.. we just couldn't believe they'd actually recognised and remembered us.. but they had... RIP Joseph Hill
