The marriage robe was exactly her size and he dived headfirst into helping and protecting her. I suspect he had his eyes on her since she joined the cult and merely faked the whole 'random decision' bit to hide his favoritism. EDIT: Upon rewatch he doesn't even fake it. He just ups and chooses her the instant the moment of silence for Tobias ends. Which just further proves the point.

The thing is cult of the lamb's world runs on cults being the norm. Cults run on dependence and people being uneducated outside of what they deem is necessary. It's not that they are stupid... it's that they are so dependent on the Lamb they will do NOTHING without the Lambs permission. Absolutely nothing. You build a farm? They will farm. You build a Janitors Closet? They will clean. They need permission to do everything and that is extreme dependence.

"I was able to guide them to the right path" The answer is that, yes, they/them is used for groups of people, but it is also very commonly used when you don't know a person's gender. Think of when a family member answers a phone with an unknown person, and after hanging up, you ask "What did they say?" or phrases such as: "When a child cries, I hug them." If you revisit conversations with people, it is positively littered with such examples and is referred to as the "Singular They". Almost all the npcs in Cult of the Lamb don't have an outright gender, and some, like Eligos, are quite unusual and ambiguous, making they/them more than understandable.

But if you consider them to be a guy or not then that’s fine. It mostly falls onto the viewers perceptions.

I love the detail that Yuki has the exact same design (even down to the pink bow) as the follower in the official console trailer, she is even exited when about to be sacrificed just like the original.

What's funnier/disturbing is that they are talking like they've been married all this time and not just that morning. Which means, it's either the memories of the previous spouse transfers to the new one or that all of them are stalking the current spouse and just follow what they've been doing until they die.

This video made me want the game, and on Christmas my friend surprised me with it. I had no idea what the gameplay is because i intentionally chose not to find out what the game is about beyond this video. But after playing a few hours... I'll tell you what, the gameplay pretty much is what you see in this. If you like this humor and art style, and you want to play a roguelite and tycoon game hybrid (sounds weird i know but it's great) then you will love it.

Blake Swift is an amazing and iconic voice actor. I can't wait to hear about him going places beyond KZread somewhere. Best Link and Lamb voice ever!!!! Love your work guys!!!

That was the way I did it in my first run. I really wanted to get the lamb married to a cat, which I renamed Ms Fortune (just a personal preference). Sadly, I had to kill a cult member to get back the double lifespan necklace and put it on her instead. XD

This was both hilarious in the characterization of the lamb’s relationship with their followers and really serious with their relationship with those they choose to be their spouse and their reaction to their followers turning against them.

I believe it's safe to say this is the most detailed, gameplay focused & frankly amazing animation involving the Cult of the lamb. Goes to show, this could be show worthy for adult swim.

I can see at least 3-4 seasons. Each Bishop still exists and there’s already numerous interesting characters that haven’t been seen in this short + the unique locations. Cult shenanigans can occur such as the bishops enacting curses or followers going against the lamb. A 10 episode miniseries I don’t think would do the story justice, but I don’t think a 10 season long with 4 movies simpsons style ain’t it either.

@@roland4618 eh... Short seasons maybe. Like, three eps per season, bringing us up to 12. Like, there could be, roughly, a village ep, a gathering ep, and a boss ep. Maybe a final one for the final boss I guess. It'd also depend on how long you decide the episodes to be. But the game's story just isn't that long, and while there is a lot of fun nonsense in your village, this short already essentially captured the vibe along with a ton of specific details. Can only draw out those things for so much

The announcement that Lamb started the sermon immediately after coming back from Anura is a very subtle joke and extremely relatable to anyone who's played the game.

@@dutchlinde56 The short answer is that it tends to be the first thing players do when they get back from a raid, and it's not quite clear why. Yes, the cooldown timer is pretty much guaranteed to be full by the time you get back from a successful raid, but so are a number of other more pressing tasks. And players tend to ignore the cooldown if it runs down while they're still in town, despite an explicit pop-up message when it happens. So it's sort of one of those idiosyncratic player behaviors, like bunnyhopping.

@@dutchlinde56 Well, after a crusade, you've either lost faith for whatever reason, things regarding the church are off cooldown, and/or you got some goodies you want to use. Sermons also give you material for unlocking perks. Most people also place their churches right at the entrance to your cult, so it's the first thing you see and are reminded you need to work with. These are the reasons I can think of.

Well he has two survivors- the cat and the dog people. So there's a good chance of returning. That and one or two crusades. HOPEFULLY the cat can actually freaking feed the two of them.

One thing about this animation that I really like and that no one else seems to have pointed out is that when Tobias's corpse is shown, Lambert is animated like a Family Guy character for the rest of the scene

The fact that theyre a lovely couple despite that they only got married because why not

I’d binge this without hesitation, this is amazing. The way Lamb still cared about their new wife, the hilarious logic of the game put into animation, the cliffhanger! why must this be a one time thing!?

Note: Not a cliffhanger. A cliffhanger is specifically an ending meant to tease the next thing, usually with a plothook at the end of an episode or book, or by building tension and promising a release to that tension next episode. This is an open ending. It is completely concludes the story it tells, but doesnt take our protangist out of action. Other adventures and stories can easily follow it, but its not incomplete if those stories never get told.

@@kymberlytowns8583 been a while so i dont remember, but i know you can do the mushroom ritual and have less than 100% happiness and stuck at about 70%, since i forgot i had them mushroom’d and tried to do a bonfire and it didnt increase

I really feel like the lamb is a well written and kinda sad character in this. In game the lamb is the last of his kind as the lambs were all killed off to prevent a prophecy. So any family the lamb likely had before is dead. Here he treats the cult like the family he lost or never had and shows he cares about them in many ways. He’s still a cult leader and gets mad at them but he still cares. He especially shows this with how loving he is to his wife. Even when all the members went crazy you can tell killing them was definitely his last resort as he and his wife both tried to talk them out of it. The lamb even made one desperate final attempt to regain authority before killing them which he only did because they were cornered and out of options. The final scene feels sad to me as he not only lost his cult but most of his family as well. Especially with the way he holds his wife’s hand as she is all he has left Besides that awesome animation probably my favorite from this channel which is saying something

@@nolamo1496 In game, yes. He is horrible. The way they're written here, the Lamb is genuinely trying to make their flock a family. Yes it's a cult and he uses cultish methods. But he does genuinely want everyone to be happy and safe. In game, I would murder someone instantly for turning on me. Put the literal fear of God in them. Here, the Lamb clearly goes out of his way not to hurt anyone until he is backed into a literal corner.

I love how the Lamb has a voice that sounds a little bit like Dipper from Gravity Falls, given the Cult of the Lamb developers declared an animation of Lambert doing the Lamby Lamby dance to be canon. The casting, dialogue, animation, and humor is fantastic, and I'd love if Cult of the Lamb got a full animated series like this, this is great!

i really love the detail 3:56 where the lamb dips their head, closes their eyes, and then angrily puts their arms down to immediately change direction of what they were angry about. Something about it feels INHUMANELY natural, like being so frustrated that you were not able to finish what you were saying JUST because you found the culprit of the problem. Not only it is cool attention to gestures and emotional detail for the animators, its so well handled by the voice actors and writers too
