Struggled for Chelsea?? Played well for a few months before the euros. Not surprised as a Chelsea fan , how well he played. He made Saka look like a championship player. Gutted England lost, but I'm happy for our Cuccerella. Muy bien amigo.

Even if you are the best and you go to a team that are missing the pieces, there is nothing you can do by yourself. But if you have, Rodri, Yamal, Nico W, and Carvajal among other taleneted players - you will shine like a gold.

His underlapping runs devastated teams at times. Playing in the half spaces confused DM's and CB's which tactically came from his end of season games with Chelsea, its bled into the Euros. He deserves the credit.

He was arguably the most in form LB at the end of the season last year??? 😂

He is playing with more effective players for Spain and so his talent will shine more.

The Cucu glazing is crazy, he was one of Chelsea's players of the season, he has been great in a number of positions, most Chels fans could tell you this. His inversion into midfield was literally the reason Chelsea went on such a good run at the end of the season.

Cucarella is a magnificent player, as it showed on the pitch in every SPAiN match in the euros. His passing skills and keeping the ball is simply sensational, there though will be a huge BUT, the big problem is blending in with the Chelsea football team, as we saw last season many of their players were very negative in their play.

His voice got me bad. Didn't expect that 😂

Before PL, Cucurella played for Barca. Can't be that shoddy! Very persistent, and now a bulldog of a defender! Great to see.

He already played that well in last 5 matches of last season..that is why he continued that same form with Spain.

Players look better at International level because quality of teams and play is a lower standard than La Liga and PL. Maybe 40 years ago, International was better than club football, but not now. Real Madrid, or even end of season Chelsea, would kick England's behind.

He played well for Chelsea, especially during the second half of the season. He struggled early on maybe because he put too much pressure on himself having to compete with Chillwell for a starting spot (or maybe he was too focus on his own hair 😁). After Chillwell's injury, he seemed more relax and played with more confidence. His performance at Chelsea late in the season was the reason he was picked for Spain.

The quality of teams feedback to players, with Spain Cucu has much more confidence and spends half the time defending than in Chealsea because the great ball control and confidence Spain has. I have seen some Chealsea games and tactically and ball control they are not as good as Spain and this affects the player. Cucurella has not magically improved to its current shape, he has been always like this, but playing in different teams shows this difference.

They took a little time to learn the system but by seasons end they were all playing outstanding football. I wish they could be graded on their performance in the both, they are really irritating. He played well at the end of the season. The thing with Cucurella is he isn’t the bomb forward offensive type of fb/wb. He’s not the fastest so if a quick winger gets by him he can be exposed. But if he keeps his man in front of him and is able to anticipate passes he’s a bulldog. This is why he thrived in the inverted fb role at the end of the season.

Problem is Chelsea don't play a style of football that suits his strengths and Cucs is nit good enough and important enough to change the style to suit him! Therefore, there needs to be a harmonious median where Chelsea play a style to suit their better technical players and Cucs needs to adapt better. Problem with Chelsea is they have bought good players, that are totally different technically etc and the style not working.
