As a Red Sox fan the Cubs are my 2nd team I was so happy they ended the longest drought in sports history 108 years. I felt the Cub fans feeling after Red Sox 2004 ending a 86 year Drought going through the same pain Red Sox fans went through. I was happy they finally did it

That’s why I’m surprised Stephen King didn’t back the Cubs in 2016. You’d think he’d have felt the way you do, since he’s a diehard Red Sox guy.

My Great Uncle told stories about the 1969 Cubs when I was born in before I go to sleep as a bed time story and now I told stories about the 2003 Cubs to my nephew and my great nephew and me a Cubs fan since 1990.

Jon Lester signing with us was the key. Everything else followed. Not taking anything away from all the other guys, but when he signed everything changed for the better with the Cubs.

"You talk about the calvary being on the way to come... They're on the way!" - Rick Sutcliffe being dead wrong.

AT THE TIME...it was. After 2015 the Cubs still had Torres, Cease, Jimenez, and more in the minors. Not to mention Russell was still a prospect at the time. But it got traded away for other players, rentals, and other acquisitions in an attempt to win again. They didn’t, but Sutcliffe was most definitely right at the time.

The only thing that actually cursed the Cubs was the crappy ownership of the Wrigley family and The Tribune company!!

In the late 70s, when they had some of their worst teams, WGN would show every home game live over the air and they would still draw 25,000 to 30,000. They were just a cash cow to the Wrigley's and the Tribune Corp. It took a billionaire who wanted to WIN to make it happen.

Thank God the Cubs won that 2016 WS in spite of Maddon otherwise we might be subject to documentaries like this for the rest of time.

I consider myself a, a man of faith...as there’s a drive into deep left field by Castellanos that will be a home run, and that will make it a 4-0 ballgame.

I miss the old squad of the Blue Jays from the early 2010s to 2018. In 2015 and 16 we Jays fans had a lot of hope because we had Bautista, Stroman, Sanchez, Donaldson, Pillar, Martin, Tulowitzki, and Encarnacion. What’s funny is we also had Munenori Kawasaki on the Jays before he got traded to the Cubs, and won that World Series with them.

The Bartman ball was NOT catchable. Alex Gonzales blew a routine double play ball right after that. Prior fell apart. He was just a scapegoat for the team’s failure. He deserves an apology. Even Moises Alou says the ball wasn’t catchable.

Bartman got his apology in the form of a World Series ring paid for by Tom Ricketts. It was not like the players one but still in all was given that after they won it all. Steve Bartman still lives in Chicago but hasn't been to a game as far as I know, he had to go into hiding after 2003, he has come out since but still stays on the down low because he had death threats over that whole incident.
