Thanks for sharing! Always my preferred channel for Cubase content. My favorite feature is being able change the input of any audio track to resample other tracks. It's the reason I've been using Ableton more so glad to see that. Also at 26:00 it looks like there's an undo and redo for the sampler track? I really hope they finally added that. I have never been able to undo and redo in the sampler only A/B which is annoying

I don’t get the moaning from some comments…There are lots of great time saver upgrades. I work full time and can appreciate every progress. Saving me a few seconds with one click means I am saving hours in a week / days of time in a year. This means I’m making more money. Thanks for your video! 👌

Great video. I'm just about to upgrade from 12 and I believe that this is a 'must have'. Thanks for your time. You sound like someone who is 'evaluating' the product, not trying to 'sell' it. Good job.

There are so many great, important things in c13 in terms of improved workflow. I prefer this over new, fancy features. Big fan of the new SamplerTrack spectral timestretch/pitch algorithm. It's not a "big" update, but I really like it.

mono to stereo - FINALLY!!!! haha. Thanks for this great rundown of new features.

Nice Video, thanks! How did you change the Channel-Icon Color to black and how did you get a channel to become white in the left area when selected? I don't find any settings to do that in the programm settings.

I Hope Next Version They Let You Add More Then One Sample In the Sampler Track For Example Add 2 Kick Drum Samples One Kick and One a 808 So You Have The Punch And The Low End

Good feature request! A workaround that I use is to transfer the sample from the sampler track to Groove Agent using the transfer button in the sampler track menu and layer it on a pad in Groove Agent.

Genial ideea!

With plug-in managers like Komplete Kontrol and AkAi VIP, a user can audition any preset Instantly, before loading it . So, Cubase's media-bay, could make proxy audio files, for the presets of any selected libraries. It would be like browsing the Loops and Samples section of Cubase, but the audition sample is pointing to, calling, a preset for that sound when needed.

Hey! Are you talking about VariAudio? There are no new VariAudio features that I know of unfortunatly.

you know you stumbled across the wrong channel when the maker praises the fat huge white bar at the top.

Can we make a petition so that this fellow is now an official Steinberg New Feature prezenter?

Can you help..? I upgraded from cubase 10 pro. I used to have so many sounds with Halicon Sonic Se and now they all seem to have gone! Have I done something wrong? As you can tell, I’m a bit bewildered. Some of the songs I write and recorded have some sounds which are now missing. Please help someone!

Here's how to get the Channel window up: The Channel tab shows the channel-related sections and layouts for the track that is selected in the track list. To show/hide the Channel tab, do one of the following: ● In the Project window toolbar, click Show/Hide Channel. ● In the Project window toolbar, click Set up Window Layout, and activate Channel. Show/Hide is at the top right. This is for people that don't use that feature much, like me.

..so far REALLY the best version of cubase!! and the most stable(mac ventura)..regards

The Stereo/Mono button only works on Audio, Group or FX tracks for now. VSTi are tricky, because they most likely have output configurations coded in the VSTi itself. Let's see if they find a solution and change this in the future 🤞

The audio feed from your DAW is barely audible, when you're showing different things.... but otherwise awesome to have this walk through right away.

Cubase 13 pro crossgrade - will there ever be a sale?

It's a very nice update. Can be subjective according to your needs, but hands on is the only way to find out. Unfortunately, you have to pay for the update to try it out. I thought 12 was nice, this one's better.

Some good improvements for workflow, but 200 EUR for update from 10.5 PRO to 13 is a little to much for me. And 10.5 is very reliable and stable, dont know about 13...

Cubase is like the guy who copies last weeks homework😂

It would of bn worth it if they had of added the *full version of GROOVE AGENT 5* - & the Vocoder should of never bn taken out of Cubase in the first place !! Why are they playing Games like 'Indian Giver'???? The new Chord Pad feature is ok. Cubase should have lifetime free updates whenever you buy the Pro version. Plus it should at least include the full version of GA-5 👈🏾

I agree that they should include Groove Agent 5 with Cubase Pro at some point! Removing and reintroducing features is not great either. Lifetime free updates would make them go under. It cost a lot of money and takes a lot of devs to support new updates. Avid almost went bankrupt while charging more than Steinberg for their updates at some point. It's a tough industry.

Upgraded. Switched to ableton a while back. It has buggs like when you use the midi chorder and play it it stays on infinite.. couple of crashes but overal its good. I like the mixer view. But the sampler updates are a joke for a update..... ableton and bitwig do it way better in more ways.

I installed Cubase 13 last night! I AM SO GLAD I KEPT Cubase 12 installed! A ton of my vst app will not load in Cubase 13!!!! Anyone else have the same problem? This is on a MacBook M2.

Did you try removing your old Cubase preferences? An easy way to test this is to lauch cubase and hold cmd, shift, opt while it's loading and on the "safe mode" pop up screen, select "Disable Program Preferences". It doesn't delete your preferences, but it won't use them for this session. It will most likely rescan your plugins which might take time.

@@GreenMusicProductions What I did was open the version of Cubase 13 in Rosetta mode and all of my VST3 plugins were now loaded with no problem. I am going to try with Rosetta mode to see what happens.

i am not gonna pay one more penny to Presonus ! i will return to use Cakewalk until i can own Cubase13 . Gibson killed Cakewalk and Fender is about to do the same with Studio One. Tnak you thank you for doing these videos. I Tried Cubase 12 or 13 for a whole month and must say having 9 Instruments and a tone of FX plugins and having only 5 Instruments and some very shity FX with Studio one is a absolute reason for me to return back to a german Product : i started out with reason 4 pont something back in the day and then Magix samplitude but was not that powerful ( i had to record my beats in a very hard way since no vst3 ) and now its time to show presonus my middle Finger and make one mo German product my own : Cubase 13. Cubase is no genre dependent : i did a rap on it and i did a EDM track on it and i saw i could record anything i want all in one place let alone the video side of it it is usable to compose music directly to a video. Cubase is! the best DAW for PC

Are there any other users here who are suffering from the software's ability to Work with Plugins that consume more processing power and that way it Reaches overload very quickly.? Does anyone know if this is because the base of the software has not been Upgraded and only additions and upgrades are added to an old " engine " For example, the amount of sends per channel is not increased, If the Software was upgraded from the base it would have already been Increased.........?

You forgot to add that 13 has introduced a shit ton of CPU spikes, which make it unusable. There are plenty of people talking about that.

I want AI quantize !!!

Brought the upgrade from 12 (although ive bene using Logic recently). Used it less than 3 hours, had 3 crashes and got a refund. Back to Logic.

No A.I integration like FL Studio, I still love Cubase but WTF! 😂

It's nice but if you are a hobbyist and have Cubase 12, you'll be fine. Nothing to get all excited by.

Of course you'll be fine with 12 atm, especially if you have various 3rd party plug-ins. It usually takes a while to be left behind where you need to upgrade.

I think I'll go back to Logic. $99 is just greed - for that low amount it could've been free. Never liked Steinberg anyway.

I download a trial. And let me say this is old software bitwig is the new kid thats cool while cubase is ready for retirement.

This seems like a .5 update at best

@@Byron101_ it's the first update since 6 that I haven't bought on the first day, and to be honest, I probably won't. Not enough to justify it in my opinion. Logic and FL give free updates, Studio One has more options and is more intuitive, but Cubase chaeges $150 in my country for a pro update. For what? Andnother compressor, a mono/stereo bitton and different looking faders? No thanks

It’s shallow. Looks and trinkets. To me it’s more of a chance to stop working and learn where they moved everything. I hate to admit it, but I am not motivated to jump on it. Where are the substantive process changes? This looks like Bella and whistles. Do you really need another Pultec? Did the R&D input come from kids on the internet? Did the white bar at the top really bug you that much? Lol. I never even noticed it. I guess I am just not impressed and upgrading to remain current feels a bit like extortion at this point. Don’t know if the graphics change is worth it, or even desired at this point.

Did you watch the video? The ability to zoom vertically is not new but the mouse wheel modifier is. It's a lot better that way.

I have watched it, great video. what you say is that the added feature is that it has key modifier rather than using the mouse, I am just saying you could've assigned a keyboard shortcut to it before as well, so you didn't really have to use the mouse like that. do you work with Stienberg is so do you know if we are getting more midi sends and insert slots? Also the ability to send midi from an instrument track? @@flyback777

Yeah :( I had to record this one with a different setup and I ended up with distortion on the recording but not while monitoring.

Coming from logic I tried cubase. It’s horrible. After 2 hours I gave up. It’s so uninspiring and unintuitive. Always extra steps for every move. Some cool features but we all know what’s important at the end. Workflow! 🤷🏻‍♂️ it’s a no for me

Tried the elements version to try it out, most expensive demo ever. I didn't like it so I deleted it and gave up my 99 dollar demo. What a scam,

this crap crashes constantly. wtf. I love cubase but this 13 v is terrible.

Crashes way less than 12 for me? Try contacting help with a build profile, they gave me in depth information (which you can see for yourself if you can read a debug file) which helped immensely and now things are stable.

Midi file to Audio file (stereo or mono) doesn't funtion???

so they added a bunch of features thats been in Logic Pro,Studio one and Reaper for years....... I bet its just as buggy as version 12,11,10 and 9. Thats why I switched to Studio one. Its stable and its not cluttered with junk everywhere.

12 is very stable here. 24/7 studio recordings with other bands and musicials, editing, composing, mixing, never any problem on our systems (PC, Mac)

😂😂😂Logic doesn't even have plugin search or ARA, and it hasn't had major updates in forever, and S1 was made by former Cubase workers... what are you talking about?
