I really like the view of matanzas! This is my favourite province in cuba. You have an amazing channel so much deep local knowledge of the city of bridges and culture. Keep sharing your knowledges of cuba. I definitely will plan on staying at the casa luna rather than the resorts. I recently did 5 days travel across habana, Mayabeque, mantanza all beautiful places with uniques character. All the proceeds i make from my 5 cuba visit will be donating to the charity on your channel. FYI.. I am from Toronto canada :) 😊

Thanks so much for your comments! You live just up the highway from me…I’m in London ON. I’ll be in Matanzas (and possibly Havana) at the end of this month so I’ll have a lot more content to share soon.

It's true, they did a great job designing the casa. And if you want to be in the historic centre of the city, it doesn't get better than this.

Hey thanks for subscribing! The Louvre and the Velasco are both nice places - I often eat breakfast/lunch at Velasco. How many times have you stayed in Matanzas? When was the last time you were there? I'm heading to Cuba on Friday and will be there for a couple of weeks, and I'll be staying in Casa Luna's sister unit - Casa Rio. Hopefully I'll post a video of it shortly after I return.

It's an upscale unit (for Matanzas, that is) but it's probably not as outrageous as you might think. Your eye for luxury is sharp…but why then bother going to Cuba? This is not unlike the old stories of “Ugly Americanism” whereby Americans surround themselves in obscene luxury while the local peasants starve to death. Let me guess; The unit comes with a $7,000 Italian Espresso machine? Now, one can only hope you brought your own coffee!

Did you miss the purpose of this 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 video on purpose? Yes, it's a very nice casa, one which employs a wonderful team of locals (none of whom are considered 'peasants') who benefit from having jobs there and being in a position to earn a better income than in their jobs with the state. It's also owned by a local. There is no $7000 espresso machine. Besides, everyone knows the real luxury version of Cuban coffee is prepared by cafetera on the stove-top. There are many reasons to go to Cuba, none of which have anything to do with the level of luxury of your accommodations. What a pointless question.
