Simple, but it's my favorite.
These are shockingly delicious. One of my favorites.
Excellent, personally I prefer the Cubata version though. Same thing only swap the light rum for a dark/aged one.

Yes, I've been told my multiple bartenders from from hispanic countries to use dark rums not white rum.
Literally one of the tastiest cocktail ever
Never gonna drink a normal rum and coke again - this was amazing

Simple but good hey!
Beautiful ❤❤
Use Mexican Coke if you can get it. The cane sugar makes a big difference. Also, best for a Batanga - Coke & tequila. Cheers from Indiana!
Wow 😮😮 love it.chrissy
That's one of my personal favourites, Steve! Personally, this is the recipe I follow. - 2oz of your preferred rum (mine is Kraken) - 1/2 half of a lime cut into quarter size (for squeezing which roughly works out to 1oz). - Cola. 1. Fill half of a highball glass with ice. 2. Squeeze the fresh lime juice into the glass, and put the squeezed wedges in with the ice and juice. 3. Pour 2oz of your preferred rum into the glass, and then top it with the rest of the ice. 4. Pour in the Cola. 5. Gently stir it a couple of times to mix it together. Be sure to not lose the fizz in the Cola. 6. Garnish with a lime wheel. Have you tried making Pirate Grog before? I've got a recipe I can share.

Limes hold about 1oz of liquid on average, so half a lime should get you half an ounce

@@The_JovianIf I remember correctly I made the drink like a week before seeing this. I’m confident I used only half a lime which I measured 1oz out of, but I could definitely be wrong 😂

@@constantinosmallios I've definitely had limes that had much more juice than expected, but on average you're gonna get half an ounce from half a lime
The classic rum and coke
I make mine with kraken
Aka rum and coke with lime.
60 mls of rum. Wow. 2 of those and you're on the way.
Where do you get the nice ice bro I ask every vid

From a Hoshizaki ice machine.
I love these but the coke always seems to go flat when I make them. Is there a good way to avoid this?

I try to use a can of coke and crack it just before serving 👌 We also have mini cans here which are 250 ml (approx 8oz) so a better portion size for cocktails than using a large bottle
Gotta disagree, Long Island iced tea is the best way to use cola in a cocktail

Try peach flavored crown royal with lipton or brisk iced tea and add a little ice.
I make these all the time but use 1oz of rum instead, otherwise I find the rum too overwhelming

On my understanding Cuba libre is no Alcohol on it an that’s a Cuba. But that’s for me in Spanish.

No, the Cubans made this alcoholic drink when they allied themselves with the US to free themselves from Spain (we were fighting the Spanish-american war). It was called "Cuba libre" because they wanted an independant Cuba, hence the name "Free Cuba". I was told by a Cuban that fled that nowadays the anti Fidel Castro faction calls the drink "la mentirita" (the little lie) as they aren't free they are just under another dictatorship.
I saw sombody use the coke in a cocktail with bear🤣 plus ice and/ or without a slice of lemon or limete.it' s that corect?👩🎓 Cheers!

@@StevetheBartender_ i have. And although it’s still a tasty drink. The price some people give it is a disgrace if you want lime juice in your rum and coke.

@@Mikelemokus Sounds like your bars are extorting customers if they are overcharging for Cuba libre (rum and coke or batangas (tequila and coke) or even whiskey & coke. The addition of a bit of lime juice should not increase the price.
Can we use lemon instead of lime?

Where mint :(

I don’t think mint is a typical garnish with Cuba Libres. Probably a lime wedge instead.
