CTX1300 vs Honda Goldwing F6B Test Ride Review

In this Motovlog I talk about the CTX1300 vs the Honda Goldwing F6B. With the price of both of these motorcycles I think that they should be put in the same buying decision for someone looking to buy a new bike. Is it work a few thousand dollars extra to get into the Goldwing community.

My 2000 Honda Goldwing 1500SE was the last of the 1500cc models. The GL1800 started in 2001.

Great video and thanks ! I had a 2008 Comfort package model with GPS! I loved the bike! I'm looking for something smaller like your CTX1300!

Base CTX 1300 models are as low as $6500 but they are getting harder to find late in 2017.

I've owned 2 F6B's and after getting a full Goldwing, I prefer it over the B's. I think it actually handles better, especially with my wife onboard. The engine does nothing for me after coming from literbikes. I have a feeling I would like the CTX better just because of the engine and lower weight.

Nice video, gives me a little more to consider if the F6B has dropped in $$$! especially used ones, I haven't really kept up with that model lately assuming it was still higher than I cared to pay!

It is low geared, only does 70km in first. 2nd,3rd,4th a d 5th pull well. It doesn't like to go above 190km/h and would probably max a little above 200 as it has a rev limiter at 6500rpm.

It's definitely not a light bike at 844 lbs. I think the secret is the horizontal 6 which keep the center of gravity low down and makes the weight seem less. I've riden a couple 2001 Goldwing's this summer. Loved them. The basic design is pretty much the same. I love the looks of the F6b but you give up reverse, trunk, and wind protection vs the normal Goldwing.

I do like the looks of the baggers but what would you do with your 500 dollar helmet. If I could figure that out then passenger comfort. The goldwimg is one to consider for long distances.

Nice but I still want them to make the CTX700 again.

I have one. I got it 6 weeks ago, it had 874km on the odometer, first regoed in 2016, so it is new. I did its first service at 1100km an old change.
