CTR is strange with its skill curve. Lewis isnt bad in the sense that he beat the velo times and has most dev times. But when he plays the tougher tracks like dragon mines, he clearly drives like an amateur. No perfect full boosting. No control over your own kart. No consistency. 91 attempts just to finish dragon mines without losing fire. Hes a total scrub in that context. Hes neither bad, or good. Just stuck in a weird purgatory in CTR.

@@PokemonSoulGold13 There's no Dev Time on Retro Stadium. Plus it's the only track in the game that isn't required to beat the Oxide or Velo's times in order to unlock the Champion Kart Decals.

I can already see the future episodes will play out. an old, skinny bald man, sitting alone in a room with just one single light somewhere in the background with a soulless look on his face staring at the tv he has set up in front of him. "welcome. part 78. fuck." and then it proceeds to the gameplay, no commentary whatsoever, just the sounds of the game he used to love and the clicking on the controller as he feels simultaneously enraged to the point of madness and empty from all the times he has already tried as he mutters very softly with what feels like his last breath every time you can hear him every now and then "William P...." and he still gets likes and support from his fans, love the videos!

I also just took out this trial today. Marks #19 for me. I had so much trouble not because the time is rough, but rather because I got “too good” of a line. The minecart in lap 3 would always be just in front of me and I’d have to stop to not squish.

Im just watching these now and heres a tip for everyone. The mine karts go around depending on when you skip the cutscene at the start, this might affect the other tracks with this kinds of stuff too i think.

He didnt, when the ghost crosses the line it slows down. William slowed down way before lewis even got across.

Was waiting for you to get to dragon mines! That track took me a good 2 hours to do. (Btw good job at beating dragon mines)

Man been watching this series since the beginning. You can do this!! DRAGON MINES IS TORTURE

The time trial ghosts actually seem to start a few milliseconds before the player, so even if you are ever so slightly behind the ghost, you can still win if you're a cart's length behind. But damn, Dragon Mines was brutal on you. You've already conquered many of the very difficult ones. Keep it up man.

Meanwhile I'm just going through N. Tropy times (they're ok tbh). Oxide is gonna be so tough...

I used to think I’d never beat N. Tropy times and could barely even unlock him on Oxide Station. Yesterday I beat Velo on Oxide Station by almost 10 seconds. If you don’t give up I promise you’ll surprise yourself.

Congratulations, since you finish Dragon mine you consider yourself have done half of the tracks, since it took me around 6-8 hours till I don it. The other tracks thou mostly (excluding William P times) 10-60 min . I wish you best of luck on Hot air skyway ,Megamix Mania and slide coliseum because to me they are all nightmares.
