I suggest pick up a shovel. Then he can dig his own foxhole for first battle and can dig supplementary and alternate positions when not healing soldiers while the infantry is defending. The great thing with this game is he will retain the shovel between battles. I tend to grab the SMG for the same reason as cited below for the nature of his engagements during healing.

⁠​⁠@Primavera, Nicholas From what I’ve seen, no. Any of your soldiers’ individual inventories will be carried over for as long as you keep them alive and the items in said inventory. Actual defense and such I don’t think so though. You’d have to use the research points to upgrade the ai-generated defenses and also hope you get a map that comes with hand-placed defenses from the devs.

Bruh. Your understanding of this game is so much more complex and involved than the other channels I've found ay. You also explain things clear af. I wish there was HEAPS more Gates Of Hell content of yours around. Maybe I'm just bad at searching the tubes but it seems like no one else even remotely thinks to do the clever stuff you do. I'm talking in general, not just this vid ay. I've never really gotten into watching game streams tbh but I'd love to see you take on other actual humans and not just A.I. in this game.

Haha Incrediable to hear! Yeah, the issue with facing others would be that I'm not good at fast actions/keybindings. I see things others can do on PC that I can't. I'm just someone who has to take everyone apart to know how it's built. That's why it's so easy to explain or give different takes. I appreciate it tho!

I only wish the Medic auto revived people in his proximity so I could send him to a downed mortar team or AT gun or into a trench and not have to micro manage every single downed guy. Put the medic in the center of a bunch of downed bodies and he should be able to do his job on his own. Just need a Rescue/Hold Position like Fire At Will/Hold Fire function for the medical ability.

You can add work to the medics cue and heal one after another if there are multiple

I want to say that one of the absolutely best weapons I've found to equip my medics with are rifle grenades. They spend most of their time laying down in cover behind a hill or in a foxhole behind the lines, having rifle grenades helps them provide some kind of supporting fire while staying in cover.

The highest single player challenge in this game is to pick early war, take German wacht am rein doctrine and play against heroic soviet enemy. For some reason especially on the map Uran. Even your toughest tank Panzer IV Ausf. D gets one-hitted by almost any vehicle or cannon by the enemy, your Panzerjager gets one-hitted by just about anything. And in this map AI places its units so you're not safe anywhere. Whenever I want a challenging solitaire play, I pick these settings :) you need to do everything perfectly. Because of course the heroic enemy gets way more resources, wins firefights easier and gets tanks really early and in the end you have to destroy 20-30 tanks with your handful of tincans.

i fucking love how many secret mechanics this game has and how many different ways you can play the game

Tank is never immobilized as long as you have 1 crew in tank. The crew insta-swaps seats. I'm assuming most ppl know this tho

@@georgeb4869 the crewman is valuable because he repairs MUCH quicker than a regular soldier, though.

I always make a battle medic and a scout medic. The first is armed with a SMG, and the second is armed with a sniper rifle. If you don't find a sniper rifle, you can always pick one of your KIA snipers or by doing the X key trade.

thanks for the tutorial's, needed some help learning but want to play now. One thing I've been trying to find but can't is how squad management works, I've noticed I can attach a medic to a squad but can I break a rifleman squad down manually and add a medic into each? also will the medic's automatically revive downed squad mates or do i have to micro manage that aspect?

As soon as you drag click the selected soldier, they become one unit. The medics need to be micromanaged sadly. Hope this helps!

I just started to play conquest and your videos have been great help! Thank you very much. How do you change that battle time limit which is 60 minutes? I like to loot , get extra gear to my veterans and micromanage so the time limit is sometimes annoying. No much time in the heat of the battle for that, I know :).... and where I find the game speed slider what you used? Are they mods? The instructions of this great game are so sparse, as we all know. So it is awesome that you keep us informed and educated. Keep up the good work!

@@PuggoRebornChannel Many thanks, you really are special ! I just figured out that you played some videos in multiplayer mode, not in conquest and there is time ticker and no limits. I also just finded that you can pause game with pause/break! :) so no real need for speed slider if it is not already in game somewhere. For my style of playing, i dont do multiplayer, time-limitless battles are ideal but 2 hours is more than enough for battle and some looting at side. I think longer battle time work in attacking but in defense AI mostly runs to my guns and all is over in about 30 minutes... I am just learning this fine game and find something new every day, if it is too much work, you dont have to bother to help me , really like your attitude. PS: As ex-medic I really liked this video!!! Medics ROCK.

Could be resolution & monitor? Not sure, might be something in the settings that allows you to expand things. I don't remember making changes. Lemme know if you figure it out.
