CT5-V Blackwing vs Tesla Model S Plaid vs M5 CS Review and Drag Race - Jason Cammisa ICONS Ep. 05

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Full review, track battle, and drag race of the Blackwing versus Plaid versus BMW M5 CS - what better way to find out why the top dog Cadillac is an icon?
In this episode, Jason Cammisa reviews the CT5-V Blackwing along with the CT4-V Blackwing and the BMW M5 CS, and brings along a TMS Plaid to show why future Blackwings will be electric.
SCCA Hall of Fame race-car driver Randy Pobst breaks the sedan lap record at Willow Springs (Big Willow) three times in one episode: which of these 3 super-sedans is quickest around a track?
The episode starts out with a drag race to see which one is quickest in a straight line - and the results might surprise you.
This is the definitive review of the CT5-V and the most sideways review of the BMW M5 and its incredible AWD system.

Honestly everything was amazing, long enough to sit and watch but left us wanting more, editing and film angles is at a level that would embarrass Need for Speed, the car selection was like a long awaited boxing match (nothing Logan Paul) and the delivery... Well its Jason Cammisa and Randy Post, automotive shows haven't been as this emotionally engaging since the old Top gear. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

The Cadillac CT5-V is one of those cars that, at first, has been underappreciated by the general public but someday soon will fetch HUGE dollars over its original price simply because enthusiasts will all realize just how special this vehicle actually is. As we move into an era of most cars being EVs, this becomes a dark horse for one of the greatest cars ever build.

Based on future value alone, what Jason said is the exact reason I think that the first generation CTS V will become the classic that everyone wants and sells for absurd prices. Give it 5-10 years and the Blackening will also become that rare Cadillac that skyrockets in worth. I've been watching and reading about the new V series for awhile now and as much as I love them it makes me want the first or second generation CTS V even more before it's too late.

It sucks because the CTxV stuff is floating right above what I can afford with announcement that Cadillac is going all EV. These cars are the ultimate gift from the GM ICE engineers (stick shift Cadillac V8 that does all the things when even the Corvette is an automatic these days, let that marinate), too bad the bean counters won't sell them at a discount the way they are doing with EVs. Not to mention what the stealerships are doing with the prices, when will they realize all they are doing in the long run with these markups is opening their own veins in a warm bath?

4:19 What does the CTS have that the Tesla doesn't? Well, after 4 or 5 years of performance driving (like drag racing), the CTS will likely have had transmission issues, differential issues, have paid thousands more for routine maintenance and thousands more for fuel. The CTS will be ready for an expensive timing chain and timing gear replacement, will likely need a water pump and serpentine belt and possibly a new alternator.

Bland exterior/interior design and poor fit and finish don't show up in a spec sheet. But the 0-60 time does right?! Sometimes you need party trick to win buyers, and there is nothing wrong with that. The Model 3 is the cooler Prius, there is also nothing wrong with that. They are both great daily drivers.

  • @teslaadverts

    @teslaadverts

    2 жыл бұрын

@@lw1878 The exterior design might not be for everyone, but I wouldn't call it bland. The front is very unique, and pretty much instantly recognizable. The "fastback" look, vertical headlights, and bodylines replacing the grille are some design elements not seen on many cars. Interior design is very simple. That can be seen as a good or bad thing depending on the person. It's not as if the people who like it are in the minority, either, as, if I remember correctly, the Model 3 is the top seller for mid-size sedans in the $40k price range. The fit and finish is definitely poor. Some people get lucky and get nicely built cars, but that's not always the case. Unfortunate, but you can always deny delivery if the car is not built as well as you might have hoped, or request Tesla to fix it before taking delivery. Not optimal though. I wouldn't say this is enough to say Tesla is on the same level of overpriced as $200 Nike shoes, regardless. Performance is also not the only thing the Model 3 does well in. Comfort, infotainment, cargo capacity, interior space, software features, and sound system are all areas where the Model 3 excels.

This was absolutely amazing and summarizes my feelings exactly when it comes to cars and motorcycles. I don’t care what’s the fastest, I just want to have the most fun. 👌🏻

Me tooo… I’ve been riding bikes and fast cars my whole life. Love my turbos, love my superduke 1290 with SC Project crt. But I have to be honest, the most fun I’ve had out of all the cars I’ve owned in my life just so happens to be right now in the Plaid. Noise or no noise, It’s just so freakin fast with instant torque. No other car has ever made me smile so much.

Guess what Else.....Tesla has special software .....required to connect to Tesla Inc. 24/7 which also required to operate the car, so Tesla basically has ability to CONTROL YOU AND YOUR TESLA CAR!!!.....SPREAD THE WORD......ELECTRIC IS NOT THEY WAY.

@@bbur75 .. you’re not making sense and I honestly have no idea what you’re talking about. Maybe you’re referring to FSD which I don’t care about. All the cameras inside my car are always off.

Lol..love how the gear heads buy super chargers, turbos, slicks, etc etc for the main purpose of going fast... now that EVs easy smash them out of the box.. it's now I dont care who's faster... Lol

Probably the best video production currently out there. It brought on the emotions like old Top Gear episodes. Bravo!
