Awesome build Mark! Is it possible to apply the same carpeting technique when your port is on the side of the box? wouldn't it interfere the rabbets on the side to tuck the carpet in?

You can add a round over and intentionally go a little deep. This will leave a lip, still to the rabbet on the other 3 edges of the side.

The Design of the FaceBrace Part (No 4 in the Desription) looks amazing, but it is not as efficient as the orginal cross shaped. Those 45 corners are quite useless, too, if you build everythig precise and use good quality glue and maybe some screws (drill hole first in MDF or it will split the board) But overall a really good looking Box that needs lots of tools unfortunately.

If you could, somehow, build a box for a 12" or 10" shallow mount sub for a truck, that would be spiffy! Maybe even get creative in how/where it is placed. I have a 12" non-shallow mount in my truck and its a standard ported box and I lose a whole seat because it is in there. I haven't found a good solution around this, yet.
