CSX Transportation: How the Military Moves

The CSX Abbeville Subdivision plays a vital role in linking several military bases together by rail, providing quick shipment of vehicles and explosives for training our nation's men and women fighting to protect our freedoms. Several of these trains ran the line back in October 2023, and I was able to capture most of them, save for one vehicle train that ran in darkness. It's always cool to see these trains, but the fact that all ran with solid run-through power made it even better! KCS, CP, UP, and even CN motive power was seen heading up these high priority trains, a nice change of pace from the endless parade of CSX GEVOs.

Excellent compilation! Superb work. Equipment on both trains was from 2nd Brigade Combat Team; 82nd Airborne returning from Joint Readiness Training Center Rotation 23-10 held @ Fort Johnson, LA (Formerly Fort Polk). This was to prepare them for assuming the Immediate Response Force-1 mission in 2024.
