As of right now, the knife looks really bad. They even updated the picture on the steam market and in game loadout to a stained knife without the black goo design. No idea if we will ever get this back.

Idk why they would change it because I have been checking csgo classic stained and they do have the clear edge wave patterns in higher floats .. even in cs2 other finishes have that in higher floats if this is permanent it's a utter blunder by valve imo .. I bought this knife just because it had the edge pattern or else would have just bought other stained knives . Hope they change it . Side note even now in well worn,battle scared it looks okayish but the previous finish was so good

@@Krupnikwho I read in the comments someone mentioned it may be brought back, hope it will be true brother don't panic wait for sometime before taking any decision . Since this was my first knife I decided to move to a more stable option for resale purposes and I had already thought about it a week ago so incase if you want to do the same please take your time and wait for sometime before they do any changes .Peace be with you

From what I noticed, the classic knife was one of the bigger changes. If there was any changes on other stained knives it would most likely be making it more accurate to what it originally looked like in csgo with more of the shine

They will fix it. It had the edge pattern in CS:GO so they just messed up. It will return.

@@BiOxMilch They are super close. The higher the float, the more clear the blade line is, but i'd get whatever is cheapest imho. The higher the float the better, but not huge changes from one point to the next... It looks like anything over about 0.6 is acceptable. Mine are 0.8 and 0.9

@blader22342 I personally think it will stay like this, I think this is a very safe pruchase. Price on it has not shot up too much. Im not even sure if most people even notice the changes so if you can find one for cheap I'd grab one.
