The one labelled as gold sandstone is called goldstone and is actually man made/ glass rather than a naturally occurring crystal, and the frog labelled as moonstone I think is actually opalite, which again is man made / glass x

Got 2 wrong. Love gem stones all my life. Been designing for years when I retire I’ll do it full time. A stone missing that I just love is ruby zoisite. Makes stunning jewelry. The picture of the rhodochrosite is just stunning. But, come on who,would carve a skeleton head out of it. It’s a rare , expensive gorgeous stone, what a waste. My second favorite is lapis. I design with it majorly , and wear it all the time. Great video though. I must say I am falling in love with the many facets ( no pun intended ) of labradorite. Am creating some pieces combining lapis. Beautiful combination.

Very beautiful stone. Looks to me to be an iron pyrite. Also known as "fools gold" named for its shimmery glittery appearance fooling many back in the Gold Rush.

I’m glad I came across your channel, I just subbed and hoping I can learn about gemstones, I recently started finding colorful stones in a nearby creek and originally thought they were gemstones but people are telling me they’re man made so I’m skeptical now, I found a green one yesterday that looks kinda like that adventurine? I also found a pink one, found a pink one last week along with some blue ones that kind of look like cryscolla, probably spelled that wrong lol but yeah I got my hopes up about them but now I’m feeling discouraged, I do have videos of me finding them on my channel if you care to watch but I understand if you don’t but it would be nice to have an expert opinion, I also believe I found a blue sapphire in another creek over the summer but I’m not sure, there’s a place called prospectors pouch that will analyze them for me for 25 dollars but I don’t have the money to do that and I’ve been broke down for months, if you could recommend test I could do from home I would appreciate it, I’m gonna check out some more of your videos, thanks for sharing, God Bless🙏🏻

Welcome to my channel, I'm so glad you are enjoying my content. There are always going to be negative people who will try to make us feel bad or discouraged. Just continue collecting if it brings you joy. There are of course fakes out there but you can def tell the difference. There are scratch tests as well as just holding them in your hand. Real stones will have a bit of weight to them. I might make a video showing how to test. For now have fun exploring, you never know what you gona find.
