Truthfully as a local in the Bahamas, most of my friends and family had no idea who this man was until recently. A lot of us didn't even know of FTX and that the headquarters was even here until all this news coverage. Even now most Bahamians I know don't care about the whole situation unless there is talk of government corruption. So my only guess is that they only found people who met the guy in some way.
