Crypto Mining Farm Maintenance - How much work does it take to run a small GPU farm???

Ғылым және технология

The one where HashRaptor goes over all the maintenance that it takes to run a small GPU Crypto Mining Farm. We demonstrate a few regular maintenance items like trouble shooting a mining rig, replacing risers and fighting pollen and other dust buildup. We will also give you a few behind the scenes snippets of upcoming projects.
Thanks so much for watching Raptors!

Have you considered moving the rigs to the middle of the room, hang plastic clear door flaps you see on walk in freezer doors from the roof and completely encompass the rigs in the center of the room? Look up Acepunch Clear PVC Smooth Plastic Strip Door Curtain 4x7. Snug them all the way up to the top of your ceiling leaving no spaces except to tube air out. Leave a space of about 6 inches at the bottom of the clear flaps you have surrounded your rigs with. Now you are pulling cool air from the lowest point inside your shed, you are trapping the hot air within the plastic clear flaps and now you funnel your air from the top of the inside of your rig clear flap enclosure and tube the air out of the shed with your fans. You also get the advantage of being about to go 360 degrees around your rigs for maintenance. You can get these flaps cheap, hang them from the ceiling easily and send the air directly out of your room by adding an "insulated" tube directly to your exhaust fan. Insulated tube so the tube itself does not return heat back into the shed. I have done datacenter designs for a long time with many concepts also have built just stand alone server rooms for many companies over the decades. This concept is best your size it is maximum efficiency to remove heat for cost. Hope that helps.

Why don't you put a block fan in front of the bottom air vent, with the air flow facing inward. Tape a furnace filter over the side facing the vent. As the the air is pulled from outside an into the fan it will be filtered and also creat more of a draft, as it is pulling the air in, as opposed to it just flowing in naturally. You could even do the same thing on the top vent, just reversing the fan air flow direction and placing the filter on the side facing the room. It is similar to dust collection of free floating dust in a woodworking shop.

So there are “cool air” vents behind the rigs on the wall. A few rigs have fans in the back pushing air onto the GPU’s (pulling air from the vents) and then fans on the front of the rigs pulling air across.
